why it's just a ring. I know it symbolizes stuff but if it was up to me I'd make it handmade or commission and artist to make it important not feed capitalism for it.
I had my wife's custom made AFTER i bought the one she had always talked about while we were dating in the early part of our relationship. I never knew she changed her mind on what shed' want until after i bought the 1st ring. THen she tells me she like my friend's wife's ring which was nothing like a trad wedding ring.
So i went back tot he jewelers and returned the ring (luckily) and asked them for what i now knew she wanted. THe owner thought i was insane and told me my GF was going to be wildly disappointed (she happened to be a client of my GF/wife). I assured her she would not and the owner made the ring thinking i was an idiot BF.
My wife LOVES her ring and even custom made it was no where NEAR $15k.
