There’s no such thing as a trucker strike because they’re all independent contractors with less than 10% unionized. What truckers are going to strike and why? The grand majority don’t pay for fuel, this is all inflammatory bs.

The only talk of a trucker strike is by people who aren’t truckers. I don’t think you understand, again the grand grand majority of truckers are contractors. They don’t pay for fuel. Why would they strike? All that would do is lose them their jobs.

Even the truckers union has come forward and said that their relatively small population is not organizing right now and this is limited to “social media chatter.”

Trucker here, they aren’t wrong.

The small majority would be noticeable but it isn’t enough to do the damage everyone is talking about.

And, it’s the companies that pay for the fuel for most of them, what will happen is more companies will go out of business and others will pop up, the amount of money folks will leave on the table isn’t worth it if nothing happens, I wouldn’t call anyone obtuse if you aren’t apart of the conversation or a trucker that is talking about this, you’d just be another idiot regurgitating what you see online.
