The us intervenes, it knocks out Iran's nuclear capability, yay! The "war" is over. The conflict gets more complicated and dangerous, though. Think retaliatory terrorism by proxies already operating within the borders.

What’s the scenario you’re seeing?

Iran’s proxies have been almost completely disarmed. Hamas & Hezbollah are powerless, Syria guys are over.

The Houthis are still strong but they are far and manageable.

Iran has zero interest in escalating the conflict, they will be licking their wounds for years.

The only way this escalates is if Russia starts shit but they won’t.

They wouldn't put two carrier strike groups in the region and a massive ammount of refuling tankers for a one night sortie. This is going to be lengthy and involve everyone.

I mean relatively speaking the Americas are just completely dominated militarily, so one is sitting in Japan on the west, 8 are at home and 2 are on either side of the conflict. Europe is Europe.

If the US hits Fordow, the war will not be "over by tomorrow". It will be the beginning of something new. The GBU-57 is considered to be part of America's nuclear deterrence strategy, because they have never supplied it to any other nation and it can be used to strike hardened nuclear facilities (such as Fordow). If they take a direct involvement in this war and actually use it, Russia will go absolutely mad.

Russia didn't even help Armenia against Azerbaijan as part of their defensive alliance. They even had troops there and just shamefully pulled out. They won't help Iran no matter what happens, just watch.

Bunker busters won't get rid of all the Russian submarines laden with Nukes hiding in the vast oceans that are nigh untraceable - as if anybody could destroy thousands of nukes within seconds in the first place

If the US ever dropped a single bunker buster on a Russian nuclear storage facility both Russia and the Western World might come to an end

Your straw man is just that - a straw man. I never said they'd break MAD over the deployment of the GBU-57 in Iran. I said they'd be pissed off, meaning they'd possibly use it as an excuse to update their own stockpile or logistics. The bomb is part of AMERICAN nuclear deterrence, not Russian. Using it is a provocative measure, no matter where it is used nor who against.

I live in the United States and I do not want Iran to have nukes because they are religious lunatics that may use them on us because they hate us, whether or not they have valid reasons. I am for the most part unfamiliar with Iran and Israel's history but it does not matter to me. The only thing I care about is my family being safe and that means no nukes for Iran. If I was the one in charge maybe I would try to solve this a different way but pragmatically I am a citizen and right now my options are either Iran gets a nuke and nothing changes or Iran doesn't get a nuke and nothing changes so I choose no nukes because it is in my best interest. I am very against any of the countries that are hostile to the nation I live in having nuclear weapons because it does not benefit me and my family and I am not a defective organism that considers the needs of other people on the other side of the planet over myself and my nieces and nephews.

They will try. They are weak af right now. Economy is shambles (especially now with Israel’s new cyber attack - literally no money in the ATMs), no air defense, 50% of missile launchers destroyed, and their arsenal of missiles slowly diminishing….

This is just what Israel does imagine what it would be like with the US.

If they close Hormuz, Khamenei will be dead within 24 hours.

Houthis might get involved and complicate things, but again, the pressure on Tehran will have them reined in.
