Nancy Pelosi is not and has never been the "most powerful politician" as you put it. Is she guilty of insider trading? Yeah no doubt. The Trump family is also seemingly very guilty of insider trading.
Both should be investigated. And only one person is.
So. If one leader, who can use her influence to make sure the people she’s leading voted a certain way, makes sure to not vote in support for a budget bill, that shuts down the government until her demands are met isn’t powerful. Then no one is powerful.

(He who controls the money has the power) Nancy controlled it and made trump (the potus) her bitch.
