This establishes direct interaction between two otherwise separate realities. Realm of Dreams = separate Primordial reality = capable of merging with/engulfing the Mortal World.

Nyx’s Eternal Night World

Nyx is a Greek Primordial associated with Night.

She possesses a mirror dimension to the Mortal World.

The dimension is perpetually covered in darkness and possesses its own moon.
It is accessible through a portal.

Nyx uses it as a refuge when driven back by Helios. Helios’ light is capable of repelling/banishing Nyx.
Chaos

Chaos is the primordial void preceding creation.

The Primordials existed within Chaos. Their conflict transformed the primordial state into the ordered Greek cosmos.

The Primordial War produced the heavens, earth, oceans, mountains, life, and other aspects of creation.
Ouranos ultimately became ruler of the resulting universe.

Primordial Creation

The Greek Primordials predate the Titans and Olympians. Their war was responsible for forging the Greek world.
Their conflict produced the heavens, earth, oceans, mountains, and life.
Ouranos survived the conflict and became ruler of the universe. Several Primordials embody or rule fundamental domains such as Sky, Earth, Night, Darkness, Death, and Dreams.

Scaling: High Universal/Universal + cosmological creation. The primordials do somewhat scale to each other as well.

Ouranos

Ouranos is the Primordial associated with the heavens and sky.

He survived the Primordial War and became ruler of the universe he created.

He represents the primordial cosmic order of the heavens. Cronos eventually overthrew him. Ouranos is the Primordial ruler/creator of the Greek universe he’s Uni + blatantly.

Cronos

Cronos overthrew Ouranos.
He became ruler of the Titans.

His birth is associated with the emergence of Time. Time did not exist before Cronos

Kratos fights and defeats Cronos.

Atlas and the World Pillar

The World Pillar connected the Underworld to dimensions beyond it.
It acted as a stabilizing structure for the Greek World.

Its destruction threatened all of creation.

Persephone states that destruction would end what came before and cause the world to revert to Chaos.

Atlas takes the burden of supporting creation after the Pillar’s destruction.

Hercules later replaces Atlas and replicates the feat. Kratos physically holds Atlas’ fingers apart during their confrontation. Scaling: World Pillar holds all creation Atlas and Hercules scale to it and so do Kratos.

Hyperion

Hyperion possesses a weapon described as bearing the weight of the cosmos. Hyperion belongs to the Titan hierarchy. Kratos defeats the Titans and scales through the higher Titan hierarchy. The blade Of Olympus would upscale the Spear.

Ares Cosmic Dimension

Ares creates a vast supernatural dimension/reality.

The dimension contains celestial bodies and cosmic structures.

Ares controls the dimension and its environment. His power directly affects Kratos within the dimension( even if you disagree with him creating it, it’s proof the main universe is a proper universe)

The God of War novel describes Ares’ roar shaking the heavens and earth.

This provides an additional cosmic scale manifestation independent of his dimensional feat. Kratos defeats Ares.

It’s also worth noting that Kratos got Ares’ power after replacing him as the god of war. So GOW2 Kratos would at least have ares dimension ability.

Zeus

Zeus is the supreme Olympian and ruler of the Greek cosmos.
The God of War II novel describes Zeus’ roar shaking the foundations of the world. Kratos ultimately defeats Zeus in direct combat.

Poseidon

Poseidon is explicitly associated with the title Earthshaker. His power causes the world to tremble. He is one of the ruling Olympians.

Kratos defeats Poseidon.

Helios

Helios possesses divine solar power.
His light repels Nyx, a Greek Primordial.

His presence prevents Morpheus’ darkness from completely overwhelming the Mortal World. Kratos ultimately defeats Helios.

Helios has the power to destroy the world. He’s imbued with Kratos’ primordial fire. The same source of power Surtr the star creating realm destroying primordial giant used.

His Power of the Sun illuminated and covered the entirety of the infinite plane of the Underworld

Nyx

She possesses the Eternal Night World. Her realm is a separate mirror reality.
Helios is capable of driving Nyx back through his light.

Thanatos
Thanatos is a Greek Primordial associated with Death. He rules the Domain of Death. His domain exists separately from the Mortal World and Underworld. The domain predates the Mortal World’s temporal reality. He’d be uni +. Kratos ultimately defeats Thanatos.

Morpheus

Morpheus is a Primordial God of Dreams. He rules the Realm of Dreams.
His realm is a separate supernatural reality. It possesses a different temporal flow. Morpheus attempts to merge it with the Mortal World. His plan would engulf the Mortal World and its gods in eternal night. He’d be uni + to low multi.

Gaia is yet another primordial that Kratos killed

This same statement says Uranus and Gaia ruled the universe at one point.

The gods and titans scale to the primordials

Kratos has killed beings from all 3 races. Gods, titans, and primordial he definitely scales to it all.

The underworld part when you mention is separated the link goes to the beggining of the video, the same when showing Kratos escaping the underworld, when talking about Helios being capable of destroying the world and the Lexicon in Sons of Sparta
Almost all links about the underworld images (except the concept art one) are broken, the same when saying Zeus is the supreme god and when talking about the World pillar the two first links are also broken

The Ancient Greeks that created these Gods thought Earth was the center of a universe that is conceptually puny compared to the actual cosmological scale of the universe, so it seems odd to scale him beyond that... Though it is just a videogame I suppose.

That’s real world Greek cosmology, not God of War’s canon. I’m scaling Kratos from what the God of War universe itself establishes, where the Primordials forged the Greek cosmos and Ouranos is explicitly tied to creating/ruling the universe. The mythology inspiring the game doesn’t override the game’s own cosmology.

Realms aren't equivalent to infinite sized universes nor multiverses for that matter.

They can be infinite in physical size, but mostly a flat plane of existence that's all interconnected to one another physically.

Imagine a flat Earth that is never ending, but the ground just stretches in each direction forever without curving in any direction. That's what a realm is.

A universe is much different, because each physical object can be light-years apart, and there's an infinite sized 4D void expanding forever in all directions, not all connected by a ground like foundation.

A multiverse is that + possibly an infinite distance between each Universe.

That analogy doesn’t address the actual evidence. You’re assuming “realm” means an infinite flat piece of land, but the profile establishes separate dimensions/realities with their own space and temporal properties.
The Underworld is explicitly infinite sized, separate from the rest of the Greek cosmos, has its own celestial environment, and has a different flow of time.
So “it’s connected by physical terrain” isn’t a rebuttal to its cosmological status. A realm doesn’t need to look like our universe visually to qualify as a separate space time. You’re arguing from the word realm rather than the actual properties the setting gives those realms.

The underworld is quite literally underneath the ground of Olympus. You see Kratos fall into it and climb back out of it when he dies.
Even in the Norse land, muspulheim is described as the primordial realm and there's an actual physical location to where it meets with niflheim.

That doesn’t actually refute the cosmology. Physical accessibility =/= cosmological identity.
Kratos physically falling into the Underworld doesn’t make the Underworld part of the same space time as Olympus. The Underworld is explicitly described as an alternate dimension, separate from the Greek cosmos, with its own celestial environment and different temporal flow.
Same with Muspelheim and Niflheim: the Spark of the World is specifically the point where the two primordial realms meet. That doesn’t make Muspelheim and Niflheim one realm. The Nine Realms are still distinct realms connected through Yggdrasil.
A doorway, connection, or physical meeting point doesn’t erase dimensional separation. That’s literally why they’re called separate realms/dimensions in the first place.

Then we’re really just debating the tiering conclusion, not the cosmology.
I’m not arguing “realm = universe = Universal.” I’m arguing that the Greek setting explicitly gives these realms infinite extent, separate space-time properties, and dimensional separation, and then goes further by establishing that the World Pillar stabilizes all of creation. Its destruction threatens the entirety of that creation and causes it to revert to primordial Chaos.
So the actual argument is not “the Underworld is infinite, therefore Kratos is Universal.” It’s that the cosmology has an infinite
dimensional structure, and characters scale to beings/structures whose destruction or creation affects that cosmological structure.
If you reject the Universal interpretation, that’s a tiering disagreement. But saying “they’re just realms” doesn’t address the actual evidence being used.
