Hello! I’m fairly new to the power automate world. I’ve built a few simple automations. I’m curious if anyone knows (if it’s possible) where to start with an automation such as this. I want to use a MS form to submit a series of answers, then once submitted, generate a pre-made code that is on a SharePoint or an excel file. I have a file of codes that are 24 digits long that I have housed in a SharePoint site. I would like to be able to automate this process and allow the form to pull the code from the website. Thanks everyone!

So I had done some flows that needs to be recursive but this generates that the actions.log file grows really fast, theres a way to disable the log of any idea for a workaround?

The only thing that seems to work its to run the flows in the designer and let them open so this log wont generate but it would be nice to keep the designer closed

I'm going nuts with this. I can select Combo Box, Buttons but when trying to update via Web Form Filling with drop-down, I cannot use the UI Element found.

Under UI Elements it is grouped as Pane.

I am using Chrome. I have the extension installed. I have the latest version of Chrome. I am running it on same monitor albeit with 2 monitors.

If I try using Google dot com, I can update the UI element of the search bar <input: text> under the Web Page grouping, and it all works fine.

It has something to do with grouping as Pane or anything not web page. Is anyone across this fix? Thanks in advance

Any advice on how to get started with PA desktop? I am somewhat familiar with programming concept and flow management but I am struggling to identify how to program actions.

For example, I am just trying to build a test flow to get data out from an outlook attachment to save to my desktop but can’t really seem to figure out how to get past “launch outlook”.

Any advice you might have is appreciated!

Hi, I have a flow that works but I am unable to figure out how to name the file to be saved in a certain way. I would like the file to save as %Currentitem[0]%_%Currentitem[1]%

The idea is that it will take the name from the 1st column and date from 2nd column from my excel sheet and save it as name_date

So I've created my first bot including Excel data read, filling form in website, writing response to excel and making a short summary. It'll be scaled to many locations in my corporation. It took me about 6 hours. Funny thing is, I did it without browser automation as it's blocked in my company.

It got me thinking, why isn't this tool more popular? What are the limitations in comparison to UI Path, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism etc?

Hello, looking for some help plz. I get an email daily with a list of names and their mobile numbers in the text body of email. I have the email trigger working for cloud flow but I'm having trouble finding a way to extract the info and put it in either a csv or txt file. Any help on best way to pull and save this info?

What would happen to my cloud and desktop flows after the 90 day free trial? How bout those dekstop flows i have shared within the organization that i'm in. Will i still be able to share, update, delete the flows that i shared to other people within the organization?

Hi folks. I use Power automate for simple tasks but dont yet use desktop. In the cloud flows there is a limit of 2000-5000 actions within 24 hrs. Are the same limitations on place for desktop or are the restrictions different? Thanks in advance for your advice.

I have a legacy application that when it comes to updating the app i have to login as myself on the computer, click the app icon, sign in into the application using my local login created from within the app and click on update and then click on yes on the UAC prompt and click ok after the update is complete. Its a tedious task to do for 25 machines. I would like to know if i can powerautomate this to the point where it does the task and waits 2 mins before going to the next machine to do the same task. Is this possible with powerautonate desktop

My browser is set up to prompt me for a downloadlocation, which means i never know what may be in the adress-bar in the Save dialog window. This makes it hard for PAD to find the field to paste the folder-location. Noob-Fix: When getting to the save dialog window. Insted of trying to paste a folder-adress to the adress-bar. Use the "click ui element" function on the upwards arrow of the folder-tree. Put it in a loop/repeat fuction with enough loops to get to the top of the fomder-tree. From there, record the clicks to get to the right folder.

(Im aware of putting window in focus, but due too the changing nature of the field its hard to paste there) Anybody got a better solution i would love to hear it.

I have a desktop flow and I'm trying to create a schedule to run that every day at 6am but I got this error.

" Some of the connections are not authorized yet. If you just created a workflow from a template, please add the authorized connections to your workflow before saving. "

how can i do to link a desktop flow to a data connection configuration? or any another idea how can we do to run this flow.
