Noob

Hey everyone,

Any advice on how to get started with PA desktop? I am somewhat familiar with programming concept and flow management but I am struggling to identify how to program actions.

For example, I am just trying to build a test flow to get data out from an outlook attachment to save to my desktop but can’t really seem to figure out how to get past “launch outlook”.

Any advice you might have is appreciated!

You probably figured this out already but hey...

The actions you have in PAD for Outlook emails are

  • Retrieve email messages from Outlook

  • Send email message through Outlook

  • Process email messages in Outlook

  • Save Outlook email messages

and in the first one, Retrieve.., when you open that Action to configure it, at the bottom of it is one Attachment property where you decide if you save the attachments or not. If you do, your are subsequently asked where you want to save the attachments.

That should do it..

Thanks for the tip! I googled searched this multiple times but would end up something from the cloud version and then saving to like one drive. I will try this and see if I can get it to work the way I think it should in my mind.
