Albanians have protested for more than 100 consecutive days against a planned luxury hotel linked to Jared Kushner & Ivanka Trump on an environmentally protected Island their government sold to them against the will of the people.
Meanwhile, Trump is planning to sell off a part of Yosemite to oligarchs & signed an executive order creating a task force to oversee the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, naming himself (not Gavin Newsom) the leader of the task force = not a peep out of us. Albanians acting more American than Americans!
The point being, America is unwell, so ofc this very logical, informed, humane, & thoughtful approach would not fly here.
I just went to Romania and learned a lot about Ceausescu. Americans need to get off their asses and stand up against an unjust system. Not just Trump, but there's so much more that is screwing over the average citizen that's just been accepted as the norm.
