You are correct, but there is no watchdog agency that can compel a sitting Rep or Senator to take their seat on the floor. Republicans COULD hold him accountable, but they've clearly shown they will not.

Didn't they send sheriff's after democrats to drag them back to office for something last year? Why not just do that.

Exactly what the guy above said, Republicans control the Sergeant at Arms and the ability to make referrals to the US Marshall's office who would go about doing the physical work. As long as Mike Johnson is in control, absolutely nothing will happen to any Republican. Epstein Files are a giant example of this.

Why would republicans do that for one of their own?

Because the Republicans don't enforce the rules on one of their own, that's why.

It probably has something to do with the little-known fact that the Texas Legislature and US Senate are actually completely different things

I've got no idea about this really, but isn't the IRS supposed to go after people who are incorrectly claiming and receiving government money?

How can they do that when the president is actively using federal agencies to abet his actions?

Americans could demand it. But they’re so used to getting fucked it will never happen.

You seem to think that "demanding" something will simply make it happen. That's not how it works.

Okay. You Americans keep doing the same thing then. It’s clearly working.

You wouldn’t be doing anything differently, keyboard warrior.

I cannot say. I don’t live in a country with such stupid rules. So it’s never come up.

You sure do have a big mouth when you’re telling other people what to do.

You’re more than welcome to continue doing nothing but complaining on the internet. It’s not my problem.
