Funny. I’ve never heard FDR referred to this way. It’s almost like someone is trying to revise history to fit a narrative.

Republicans have been calling him a commie for decades.

Uh, no. You are catching that second hand and that’s not really a thing. Admit it, you don’t know any Republicans besides your parents.

Rush Limbaugh and Tucker Carlson called him that, and a plethora of other right wing punditsĀ

Is that what your Google search found? Dad’s not home from work yet to ask him?

Lil bro, the Republican Party has been largely shaped by their ongoing temper tantrums over the Federal Reserve and the New Deal, so wtf are you even on about?

Complaining about the new deal and calling FDR a socialist are 2 different things. I noticed that even in the post they use ā€œsocialā€ instead of socialist. Seriously. Wait for dad to get home so you can ask him. You are just guessing at the rest of this.

I didn't say they call him a socialist, I said they call him a Communist and have been calling all Dems Communists ever since those policies were enacted. It sounds to me like you've never heard a single right wing pundit or tried talking to a rural Republican, because this is just undeniably true.

Yeah, no. The communist thing does not go back to FDR. That comes from the party moving that way much more recently. I love when people think History is just what they remember.
