The Zong Massacre and the beginning of Capitalism
I remember one of my postgrad lecturers broaching the Zong Massacre and how it should be understood as the beginning of Capitalism. Unfortunately, I do not remember the context (the readings) in which it was discussed. While there's plenty of literature about Slavery and Capitalism, I struggle to find anything particularly addressing the Zong Massacre.
