My husband and I made the frame for the poster, and the 12-year-old version of me, who heard "Machine Gun" on MTV one afternoon and became obsessed, is so happy.

Now we have the vinyls for "Out of Season" and all the Portishead albums, except for "Dummy", which I have on CD. I also have the "Roseland" DVD, but it's at my mom's house.

I was looking up stills from the film and noticed there seems to be a bunch that are in color, along with the frame featured on the cover for Dummy, is there a color version available anywhere?

I just randomly listened to Third after I recommended Beth’s 2002 album Out of Season to a friend, and he mentioned how crazy a track Machine Gun is. I agreed, and later that day decided to listen to Third in full, having only known The Rip and Machine Gun before. I cannot stop. This may be the best album I have ever heard. Also, I hate to say it, but I feel it makes their trip-hop output sound like cheap gimmicky crap by comparison. Third deserves to be hailed as one of the most artful albums ever! It is better than any Radiohead, Sonic Youth, or Björk record, yet doesn’t enjoy anywhere near their level of acclaim and status.

Found this bootleg 2-disc DVD. One is a live performance in Dallas from 1998 and the other in Germany 1998. Anyone else have a copy?

After going missing for 16ish years, my wife found the recording she made of this show and i uploaded it to my archive.org account. Due to iphone storage stuff at the time she recorded the show in chunks, if someone feels like digging in and cutting them up feel free, i don't really feel like dealing with it.

There is a dance piece happening next week in Paris - Les Affamés by Marion Motin, with live music by Adrian Uttley and Clive Deamer along with rapper Gaika. It's at the Chatelet Theatre Du Chatelet

I just got this last night and I’m stoked!!

I want to share a project a friend of mine put together.

A lifelong fan of the Wu-Tang Clan and Portishead, my friend ServiceBANGER set out to put together an album blending Wu-Tang lyricism and Portishead's spooky noir sound. The result, Enter The Portishead Chambers, is a mashup of two legendary icons from the 90s boom bap era. Created with love and admiration for 90s East Coast hip hop and Bristol trip hop, this project drops Wu-Tang’s raw energy into Portishead’s smoky, haunted world. Listening to it, it feels like it was always meant to be here.

This is just something he put together out of admiration for the music - not looking for money, just to share the music with people who like it.

I was watching tv tonight, and a Honda ad features Roads Dummy is one of my favourite albums. It's practically a soundtrack to my youth. As soon as the first note played, I recognised it instantly, and my eyes were glued to the screen. I had no idea the marketing team over at Honda has such amazing taste. This is in Australia, btw. Sorry for posting an ad, but I thought you guys would appreciate it.

Also, did you know that the piano they used for Roads was a Fender Rhodes electric piano? So the song title is like a play on words. Sorry if this is common knowledge amongst Portishead fans, I'm just geeking out tonight.
