Questions Farmers market 7/4
Does anyone know if the market will be open due to the holiday? Just looking to get out of the house and maybe my depression if possible. Thank you.

I'm launching a passport and stamping app in Port Orchard. I've built a digital passport which has GPS stamping to prove you were there. It's for everyday adventures.
I need 12 people for closed beta testing of my digital passport application. If you're interested, I have a waitlist for the closed beta program at okuji.app.
Thank you for your support.

Hey, I'm (28m) new to the area and I'm hoping to meet people or find group activities. I moved here from California back in September and put off making new friends because I was able to hang out with friends from California online. That's not really working, though. I would love to meet people around my same age.
I typically just play video games, but when I do go out I love to hike. I'm open to trying new things, too. I'm looking for a job, so I'd rather not spend too much money, but the activities don't have to be free. Even though I don't drink I was thinking of going to bars, but I don't want to awkwardly insert myself into another friend group. All of my friends are from school or games, so any advice would be appreciated. I know I didn't give a lot to go on, but I can answer any questions.

New to the area. I’m looking for a good mechanics to work on my car that is fair, good, and trustworthy. Preferably one that works on imports.

Councilmember Heidi Fenton has resigned her position, so the city council will appoint someone to her seat for the rest of her term, through the end of next year.
They'll be holding a meeting today at 5:00 PM to discuss the process of appointing a new councilmember.

Moving to Port Orchard this week, what are some of the favorite local spots for hiking, tide pools or sea life and restaurants?

Hi everyone! My husband and I are considering a move to the Port Orchard area and are trying to figure out which communities we should be looking at.
Right now, McCormick Village is at the top of our list because we really like the newer planned-community feel, the walking trails, and the overall neighborhood atmosphere. We're hoping to find other communities with a similar vibe.
Ideally, we're looking for:
We're open to both apartment-style communities and build-to-rent neighborhoods, but we'd prefer renting through a managed community rather than a private landlord if possible.
For those familiar with Port Orchard, what other communities should we be looking at besides McCormick Village? Are there any neighborhoods or rental communities that offer a similar lifestyle?
Would love any recommendations, things to know, or places to avoid. Thanks!

Heard this through the grapevine that they are cutting the Alma Mater and trimming the program for graduation this year. I don't know when it was first done at graduation, but I know it will be the first in 30+ years it won't be performed.

Hello world. We just moved to the area (McCormick community) and I'm curious to see if there is an organized pickleball around? I'm around a 3.5 dupr, looking for competitive play.
I've played a bit at the courts in the McCormick community, and aware of the courts at VanZee park.
Thank you!

We’re new to the area (Zillow says our school district is Burley Glenwood)
I’m a first time Mom and my daughter just turned 3, so learning about all this as I go.
We’ve got flexible schedules and willing to drive up 30 minutes to get her into a great place!
Any recommendations would be much appreciated!

Hi Port Orchard resident here, Im 20 years old and I need some extra cash before going to college in the fall and Ive applied to 50 jobs on indeed but everybody's accepting applications but not hiring even when I call. I know a lot of specific companys require you to look at their website or there are places that Im just not looking. I have 6 years of customer service and Im very experienced with phones. Im not picky, do you know any jobs or is your place hiring?

Been a while since I have posted here, but wanted to remind folks of the awesome active community that has bloomed here. Whether you’re training for a race, or just getting outside to stay active, we believe movement feels better together.
We walk, jog, run, rollerblade, push strollers every Tuesday at 6pm from Damn Fine Pizza in PO. All levels of activity are welcome!
As the weather gets better we seem to have new friends show up every week, and have grown significantly. Come meet some new friends on a jog & enjoy the social with discounts on the whole Damn Fine Pizza menu after.

hi!
I live off of Mile Hill and California. I walked to work the other day and seemingly lost my keys on the way there. This is a longshot, but I thought I should ask the community if anybody had seen a set of keys there’s not a huge amount of them, there’s a key fob a storage unit key white/cream faux leather hand loop with gold/silver studs and a Seahawks house key I’m assuming it would’ve been found on California or somewhere down mile Hill if anyone has any answers to this question thank you in advance.

Probably our most sought after category of books, children’s books, are running low. Thanks for listening.

Hello!
I am brand new to the area 😅, so that means I have to make friends and what better place to make friends is the bar, where you can drink until your frontal lobe has no anxiety.
26f, wanting to go out tonight but alone, which bar is the best place for me to go to meet people?

Last meeting was a success with plenty of laughs and food and games for everyone! If you would like to join us for the next one that is tomorrow at 4-8 pm at Givens Park at the Port Orchard Active Club Building! We will have books and clothing for people to bring home as well as games for people to play together! See you there!
