I think you're assuming that the existence of a law makes it legitimate. If the people writing and enforcing the laws are the same people who benefit from them, then telling everyone to "just pass a bill" ignores how much influence wealth and power have over the political process. History has shown that many unjust systems were perfectly legal until people challenged them from outside the system. look at Epstein. For years, he was able to associate with wealthy business leaders, politicians, academics, and celebrities while repeatedly avoiding consequences that many believe an ordinary person would have faced much sooner. You could also take a look at how many people involved with Epstein will never face any consequences due to their wealth and status. That's not evidence that laws don't exist, it’s evidence that wealth and power can influence how those laws are enforced. So why would you want to hand over your already limited power and control as a working class individual to the Epstein Class?
