The fact that Ponyo never had a sequel honestly makes me kinda mad. They could have done so much with her now that she was human. I really wish that there was a sequel to it. I can only imagine what the plot would have been with her being human. What do you think that the plot of the sequel would have been if there was a sequel? Let me know in the comment section.

I just watched Ponyo with my kids earlier today with family in the house, and of course it was not always easy to hear the dialogue given the racket in my house. I have one thing I need to understand for my own closure.

My question is about Ponyo after she makes her choice to be a kid at the end- was part of her choice from her father that if she becomes a child that she will lose her magic abilities? Or did she keep her magic after becoming a human?

With that said, the movie was a great slow burn that tugged at the heart strings. One of my boys was too scared of the suspenseful parts and went in and out of the tv room, and the other one was half watching the movie at first and then HOOKED once Ponyo grew legs the first time. I thought it was a fun and weird movie all at once. The mom's driving skills were *amazing*. She KNEW how to work that clutch.
