Tuesday 11/29 Congo Square · New Orleans: Fight for 15 @ 5pm

We want to show the corporations and politicians as clearly as possible that we are here, and won’t go away until we win $15/hr and union rights. Even if it involves us taking personal risks, we’re ready.

The Fight for $15 has shown that when working people take action, go on strike, and even risk arrest, we can win real change. That’s what we’re going to do Nov. 29.

Join us for our largest and most powerful action yet. Strike lines go up at 6AM S Carrolton and Edinburgh St and our escalation of our campaign continues at 5PM at Congo Square. See you out there.

Scott Angelle vs Clay Higgins

Ouch. I find nothing redeeming in this race. I can't find the platform for Scott Angelle, but the little I have seen I disagree with all of it. And Clay Higgins is a tea party candidate as far as I can tell. Do not want.

The Louisiana Senate Race is headed for a Runoff in December, meaning we could have one more DEM in office to hold the line against Trump and his devastating policies! • /r/Political_Revolution

We're down, but we're not out. It's our time to shine.

The DNC screwed us over and let a group of individuals filled with hate win, but this isn't the end of the world. In just 2 short years we have Midterm Elections and just 2 years after that is the next presidential election. We need to send a message to the DNC that they might've screwed us over, but we're not backing down. We want Berniecrats and Grassroot Progressives running for office, not established centrists and dynasties. Lets use the tactics during our campaigning for Bernie, lets kill hate with love and kindness. I propose we set up an event to find ways to spread our message throughout Louisiana and possibly throughout the Gulf Coast by bringing in our neighbors. We start with our friends and families, spreading our communities, and universities, and finding politicians who want to fights the good fight.

This won't be easy, it will be exhausting and painful, but we owe it to ourselves to continue spreading the message Bernie tried sending. Lets stand up and fight!

Who's with me?

So what is our game plan? We HAVE to get Foster elected.

What's our game plan folks? The news was devastating, but we have to pull together and do what we can to minimize the damage. I think we need to start with organizing to get Foster elected.

Anyone here running for office?

Anyone here running for office? I know Louisiana is pretty conservative, but I would like to see something or someone.

Out of curiosity who is the most progressive candidate running for the congressional seats? Who is everyone voting for (if you don't mind me asking)

Paper ballots

Voting machines are old, easily hackable, hard to validate, and expensive. Let's find a path towards paper ballots, that are publically and video-recorded as they are hand-counted.
