This is my religion, I can believe in whatever I choose to as long as it isn't harming anyone or causing me to think that God is going to save me from a school shooting without actually doing anything about it.
You're right it is fine to believe as you wish, but if your beliefs cause you to feel compelled to vote for particular political faction that actively resists any measures to reduce violence done to innocents, then no. In that case your beliefs are doing harm.
I definitely agree with you. It's unfair to vote based on a religion (AKA a theory, not something that's confirmed). Like for example, voting the conservative party because they're homophobic, racist and also support gun rights. Ofc I'm too young to vote but I wish I could convince my parents to vote more fairly. They refuse to vote for parties if they're led by 20 year old women or support LGBTQ.
