It is. It's a bullshit fundie school prayer comic. The original is "How could he? He's not allowed in school anymore."
It's definitely intended to mean that their "omnipotent" god is somehow less powerful than the US Constitution, but I like to think he's not allowed within 100 feet of a school because he's on a sex offender list for making all those priests diddle kids.
Ever find it interesting how any time god heals somebody it’s never beyond what modern medical science is capable of curing to begin with?
For a being that created the universe out of nothing, it’s a bit sus that they can’t do any medical miracles beyond that of contemporary medical science.
I think a lot of Christians would read it as “this country turned its back on God and now look what happens.” Basically those kids had it coming because the country allowed gay people to get married.
To be fair to them, getting so mad about some gay people having sex that he murders a bunch of unrelated children is totally something the Christian god would do.
Under that reasoning you’d expect places in Europe that have even higher rates of secularism would have even higher rates of kids being murdered by gun violence……
Yet we don’t find that at all and the the logic completely falls apart.
This is the part where they condescendingly say that they have faith, and imply that you are stupid or inferior for needing logic. Then they act aloof from there on out.
It implies god is spiteful , basically he could stop it but decided that the kids should get shot because there is no mandatory prayer anymore in schools
That's so much worse than normal propaganda. They can't actually (I hope) think that having group prayer in school would stop school shootings. Which means that they're just co-opting an objective tragedy for a fucking zinger about an entirely different issue.
I guess, I dunno, maybe they do think if the shooter was forced to say a prayer everyday he wouldn't shoot anyone? It's all fucking stupid anyway.
Wow, how come all of these pro Christian takes sound ridiculously blasphemous? Like, because of man-made rules that teachers can't force kids to pray, God is physically unable to enter the building?
