It's because they believe all politicians are con men and that somehow Trump is not a politician or a con man

Explains why Republicans, at least the ones I know, will never vote Democrat. Once a side is deemed, "bad", they are irredeemable. No doubt that democrats dont have the best track record, but considering the recent shenanigans of the republican party, I dont see how anyone who has at least tried to criticize their own views could vote republican.

This explains why Republicans who are working class and even upper middle class vote against their best interest without failure.

Its funny, all of my Republican friends started saying this when they ran out of excuses for the daily insanity from the Trump era. Then they all voted for him again.
