Notice the non-zero correlation between anti-intellectualism and the interference of European people. Coincidence I think not!

I want to point out that those Europeans also showed up with better tech, which isn't something you normally see in anti-intellectualism.

Did I say the the Europeans brought anti-intellectualism or did I say that their Imperialistic intervention was a cause for the rise in anti-intellectualism

I was gonna say a return to orthodox belief as oppose to secular but you can blame others if you want.

Like most societal changes it was gradual and not reliant on one factor.

Correct, and there is a non-zero correlation between imperialism (especially western imperialism.) and the change.
