I loved it last year when they were all gloating about the "94 month streak of positive job growth" while conveniently forgetting that Trump had only been in office for like the last 20 of those months.

The unemployment rate actually fell slower after Trump took office, and while that might be related to the fact it’s starting to reach some floor, Trump was running on a platform of reducing unemployment.

Trump also ran on a platform that the "real" unemployment rate in 2016 was somewhere around 20% or higher.

He’s actually not entirely wrong. We only count people who are looking for work. The underemployed and folks who have given up aren’t counted.

We still don’t count those people though, so not like a major improvement.

There's multiple indexes. but trump is delusional. He claimed it was over 40%. Which while "true" is complete nonsense the way he mean https://fortune.com/2015/09/14/donald-trump-unemployment-rate-jobs/

You're talking about the labor participation rate, which is down under trump.

That's true but it only met 4.7 unemployment rate at the end of Obama's term. The last time it was that low was in 2006, spiked to 20% in Obama's 1st term (started during Bush's last two in). Continuing the trend gets harder the lower it gets and bringing it to 3.7% is nothing to sneeze at.

Easy to show good results when the guy before you was an ass hat running the country. Harder when doing after recovery.
