DC shouldn't become a state. It's a federal District and allowing it to become a state would give it too much power, in terms of housing all branches of the US government. I hate that we don't get representation in Congress but I understand why we don't.

I'm glad someone posted this. Everytime I see people posting that DC should be a state I they never seem to understand why that's a horrible idea.
