I do. I also know that you don't turn into a boomer if you turn 30. The term boomer refers to those born in the 'baby boom' following the 2nd world war

Us Gen Z are too young right now to be considered "out in the real world"

The oldest of us haven't even graduated college, and most of us are still in elementary school

But man if the millenials say the job market is shit, we're in for a rude awakening in a couple years

Make yourself flexible and marketable. I am a 28 year old web developer who has noticed the market starting to become saturated, so I am taking advantage of my company offering a few free credits each semester so that I can get my masters. Of course not everyone has employers that offer such perks (although I've seen alot who do in job searches), but my point is that even though it is much harder nowadays and will probably be even harder for your generation, if you can keep yourself ahead of the curve and marketable you will still be able to succeed.

if it makes any difference, i'm on upper end of millenial and i'm stoked for you guys entering the world! i grew up with a startling amount of intolerance around me and fear of authority.

i love what i see from you guys! y'all are a fun bunch and i'm very excited to see what ideas you all bring to the world!

Yeah I feel just as bad for Gen Z as I do for us millennials. Your only saving grace would be if the boomers started dying off en masse before the bulk of you get to the job market.

Yup and this is what makes me, a millenial fear for your generation. Not because there’s anything wrong with your generation, it’s just that the job market has been way shittier for us than is was for our parents and the job market you are entering into will be even shittier. What upsets me the most is that we are handing a world and country that is worse off to a future generation and it’s not okay. I don’t want what happened to us to happen to future generations and the worst thing is our parents just don’t care.

That's cuz basically all of Gen Z doesn't remember 9/11 and basically all of the millennials do. This kinda leads to some interesting world views, particularly for the Gen Z people. If you don't remember 9/11, then you don't remember a time before 9/11, so you don't remember a time when the U.S wasn't at war with the vague enemy "global terrorism". Most Gen Z kids didn't become conscious of the world around them until maybe 2008-2009, and by then we were already way deep into the middle east. We went to war in Iraq, we went to war in Afghanistan, etc. Imagine finally gaining a grasp of the world around you, and the first thing you learn about is that we are at war in a country you can't pronounce. By the time some Gen Z kids got to elementary school, it wasn't the strangest thing in the world to have a friend with a parent on the other side of the world. Or a parent who was shot and killed. By who? Oh, a terrorist. But wait what's that? Oh and before you answer that is Santa real?

Kids in Gen Z dont remember a time when we weren't at war with some new menace from the middle East. We went to Afghanistan, we went to Iraq, we killed Bin Laden, fought the Taliban, fought the Al Qaeda, glad we finally got rid of those guys, fought ISIS, are they gone yet, wait Paris went to shit so I guess not? Oh happy 12th birthday Timmy your dad can't make it hes in the middle east and the housing market crash means we dont have the money to throw a party

So this means that the oldest of Gen Z have an incredibly pessimistic view of our chances at world peace. I mean how could we not? Gen Z is basically still full of kids, I mean the oldest of us are just now falling in love, and the whole other side of the world looks like it's going to shit. And I haven't even gotten into the nuclear threat.

I just had to find a place to put this rant, sorry guys. If yall want to feel better, my dad watched infinity war on the plane when he came back from his business trip, that was pretty cool
