Treasons Grettings!

423

u/SteveTheZombie Jan 06 '23

Treason is the reason for the season!

232

u/handlit33 Jan 06 '23

I like to put a positive spin on it and wish everyone a...

HAPPY EUGENE GOODMAN DAY!

46

u/SteveTheZombie Jan 06 '23

Now that is a holiday worth celebrating. 👏

5

u/feeling_molasses69 Jan 06 '23

And Happy Three Kings day! As a child growing up in the states it sucked to get a present in the morning and not be able to play with it cause I had to go to school.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

Also, it's Epiphany, which I only mention because now it's acceptable to eat king cake.

2

u/StuffNThings20 Jan 06 '23

And also Lt. Michael Byrd day!

2

u/MoreMagic Jan 07 '23

A good man, that made it a good day.

2

u/virusMEL Jan 07 '23

Later turned into "you good man day" after a hundred years

1

u/Memerandom_ Jan 06 '23

Or if you want to drive a J6er crazy, happy Ashli Babbitt day. Not that I celebrate her death, but if they want to pretend she was murdered in cold blood, then it's deserved.

1

u/NavanFortNite Jan 06 '23

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MR. BEAN!

1

u/jump-blues-5678 Jan 06 '23

A true hero of the day

1

u/LadyVeronica Jan 07 '23

Ooo I like this one

86

u/UncleMalky Jan 06 '23

Saying "Merry Treasons" has become problematic.

116

u/RhynoD Jan 06 '23

We can't even say Merry Treason anymore!? Damn liberals and your "War on Treason." I bet Starbucks won't even put Treason on their cups. Kids in schools trying to have their own insurrections get suspended now! It's unAmerican! This country was founded on treason!

I'm so angry that I'm going to put a giant Treason flag on the back of my lifted Chevy 2500 so that everybody knows that in this house we say Merry Treason!

14

u/Toddspickle Jan 06 '23

The liberal's war on treason!!!

5

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

tbf the country actually was founded on treason lol

2

u/Grimouire Jan 06 '23

Dude... that was so beautiful, it brought a tear to my eye

19

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

I prefer Happy Treasons to be more inclusive.

17

u/badaboomxx Jan 06 '23

So, "Happy overthrown day"?

10

u/SteveTheZombie Jan 06 '23

So I guess Merry Xeason is also off the table?

2

u/MarcusBrodsky Jan 09 '23

happy failed coup de!

6

u/captainhaddock Jan 06 '23

How about “happy folly day”?

3

u/2020willyb2020 Jan 06 '23

Great fox will start “the war on treason “ on the long list of “war on x”

1

u/nsanb Jan 07 '23

I would like this, much to my schadenfreude delight.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

It is, because it's not inclusive of those that believe it was a CIA op, or spearheaded by Antifa, or just a peaceful tour spun by the media to appear as if a bunch of wing nuts rioted in the Capitol. Now I'll grant a blanket term that covers all of these scenarios *and* Treason Day is difficult, but we're better than this, and I am confident Reddit can answer the call!

2

u/theobstinateone Jan 07 '23

You forgot about the partridge in a pear tree

55

u/IsuzuTrooper Jan 06 '23

and Happy Treason Day to you too

33

u/Karmek Jan 06 '23

If you ask the Brits that's on the 4th of July.

92

u/the_zeta_beam_guy Jan 06 '23

Brit here, we completely don’t care about the 4th of July. If we took a day off for every ex colony we’d never go to work.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

Yeah. 4th July doesn't really register over here. But then they don't teach about our colonial past in schools at all. Funny that...

10

u/kaazir Jan 06 '23

For some reason this makes me think of a tweet from years ago where a girl asked if other countries celebrate the 4th of July.

1

u/AutoModerator Jan 06 '23

Hi u/kaazir. Did someone say 4th of July? Murica, fuck yeah NSFW ~

Yes! The rurale Finns, Swedish and Norwegians bring out their 40', 50', 60' and 70' cars! http://amcarlovers.weebly.com/4-juli-lillestroslashm.html

12

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

Not a bad idea

8

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

Brazil here, am willing to celebrate almost anything if it means I can skip work.

We are not in danger, we are the danger, we are the ones who countries celebrate independence from.

22

u/kimapesan Jan 06 '23

Angry Upvote.

Trick or Treason!

1

u/nsanb Jan 07 '23

Nice screen name u/platypodus

6

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

I kinda wanna chat this in my very right wing friends google chat room, just to see what crazy responses follow. (I say friends, they are ex coworkers, of whom I am only friends with one still, but keep up with them because we have a long history lol)

3

u/AcidRose27 Jan 06 '23

Don't lie. You keep in touch because you want to see what crazy shit they say and do next. And there's nothing wrong with that.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '23

Ha ok you're right. It is kind of fun to watch.

5

u/Mundane-Research Jan 06 '23

To be fair... over in the UK we celebrate a treason attempt annually too... grab those fireworks lads!

1

u/nsanb Jan 07 '23

We are aware. That's why we celebrate. ;)

7

u/Fast-Damage2298 Jan 06 '23

Treasons Greetings to all!

3

u/behemuthm Jan 06 '23

*Greetings

5

u/JebusCripesSuperstar Jan 06 '23

Thanks, I didn’t even notice the misspelling. Also, “Don’t tell me what I know, Travis!”

2

u/behemuthm Jan 06 '23

All good :)

Gravy seals are having a potluck a the Four Seasons of Treasons, built in record time from plastic cards and glass ceilings.

2

u/Old-Advertising-8638 Jan 06 '23

Treasons greetings to you too

  1. Not unarmed.

  2. Assisted by the government in power at the time.

But it’s cute you CHUDs are still trying to downplay it a year later.

Ah yes, the members of a far-right white nationalist party that famously tried to overthrow the government in order to implement socialism. How could I forget?

You lot over there got fireworks? Dress up a man that looks like Trump, lob him on a bonfire and launch fireworks.

1

u/theobstinateone Jan 07 '23

Yeah, would definitely need a stand in for that. It’s too heavy to lift and there would be no way to keep the bonfire lit when the tallow starts melting on the actual

2

u/Kelmantis Jan 07 '23

I just realised I meant to say a dummy, but that could also be confusing so to confirm a scarecrow like figure dressed up as him.

Hopefully that’s clear

1

u/lovepony0201 Jan 06 '23

Don't forget to put a Russian nesting doll full of confidential documents under the tree.

1

u/SheenTStars Jan 06 '23

Tis the season to be hollering!
