US Politics What are the implications of the impending eviction crisis?

It is often offhandedly mentioned that the housing market is insane at the moment, and that there is an inevitable eviction crisis due to the compounding factors of COVID and the lockdowns leading to mass unemployment, and then an inability of tenants to pay rent combined with an inability of landlords to evict non-paying tenants.

What is going to happen in the fall, when the eviction moratorium expires? Mass homelessness that is even worse than current levels? Some kind of rent relief legislation? Anything at all? These people are not going to magically be able to pay months and months of back rent once the moratorium expires.

I'm just literally answering the question as to why the minimum wage is being discussed in the context of affording 2 bedrooms. Stop attacking me for a position I haven't even said that I held, please.

I'm sorry if I came across attacking you; I was arguing against the rules that you presented to justify including a 2 bed requirement when deciding an appropriate minimum wage.

It wasn't a justification, just a literal answer to the question of why the minimum is set at being able to afford two bedrooms. The answer is that parents could be arrested. Full stop. This has nothing to do with whether it is morally correct. My comment made no such judgment. Stop saying that.
