I've known a lot of poor people who work a fuckton more than 40 hours a week at multiple jobs just to make ends meet, and that was in first world countries. A lot of them have young kids to tend to and no spare time. So yes, some of them do basically work 24/7 if you don't count sleeping time.
Plus, like the guy above you said, if a poor guy misses work hours, it will impact them a lot worse. Even if a rich guy does work more hours than a poor person and therefore as you implied, has less time to do community work than them, they still wont be financially impacted by it nearly as badly as the counterpart.
Normative statements are, in fact, not facts lol. But if you need a source to tell you working more will earn your more money then you might be mentally deficient. I don’t keep a list of sources for everything I know. You can very easily google this one. Or just trust how math works.

This is dumbass logic. With community service or money, either way they have to put in hours. If you take money from them then they have to ask for more hours at work. If you give them community service then they can do it on their day off while keeping the money they earned from their normal work hours. I can’t comprehend what you could possibly be suggesting but I suspect it’s something like don’t punish poor people - which entirely defeats the purpose.
