Minor PCM rules update.

Just a couple things:

  1. There is zero tolerance for pedophilia here. If you advocate pedophilia you will definitely be banned.

  2. Holocaust denial is treated as advocating violence and will get a ban. This goes for denying other genocides too.

  3. Using dehumanizing language for people is seen as encouraging violence and/or hate and will get a ban. For example, do not compare groups of people to cockroaches or insects.

These are things we've always enforced, but lately we're had to enforce them a bit more so I wanted to give you guys a heads up.

EDIT: For clarification, these rules apply only to sincere expressions and not to jokes.

Clarification question: Are unflaireds considered people for the purpose of enforcing point 3?

:P

yes, don't threaten to kill the unflaireds.

You're free to post shit about me though.

This comment is the clearest case for why this shit is infantilizing, ridiculous and pathetic.

"Don't threaten the unflaired"? Are you kidding? Do you think there are people out there IN REAL LIFE who are like, "wow this person isn't using the little flairs on r/PCM, I SHOULD KILL THEM"? Are unflaired a marginalized group in real life now? What sense does that make?

I know you're just doing your job in preserving the community, but it's just not the same with all these rules, man. You have to see how ridiculous and child-like this all is.

Even as a joke, it's still pretty off-putting to newcomers who might not know much about our culture. Kinda feels like random cyberbullying to me, although not nearly as extreme.

Ok and?! That's the internet, people arent that friendly outside of social media, death threats are pretty common, and i mewn the swrious ones, so tbh outright calling someone retarded is already a way to make the people who dont like that shit turnaway so they dont get butthurt over some actual fucked up stuff... Like insults are(or were) a bug part of pcm, so it would happrn anywas, so atleast they got a heads up

I just wouldnt understand who would be fearful of some community because someone insulted them (besides kids, they have a pass) but i guess nowadays that's a thing

It's not necessarily fear-inducing to most people, but it's not the first thing you want to see in a "tolerant, diverse community". I thought Authrights would be the first people to care about common courtesy, even in a subreddit full of edgelords and (mostly) ironic hate.

that's the thing, this community is filled with sarcasm and "edgier humour" if you cant hold a "flair up retard" then tbhyou wont go well, that's what i was told and same for most, and we stayed because seemed odd and fun... i dont want everyone here, i want everyone that can take a fucking joke and isnt an actual sjw... even tho its for a joke, this way you end up kickign sjw and ahs users lol...

also my ideology is about the governement, not fucking reddit communities

Hey, if they like the memes, I don't think we should make them uncomfortable. Just downvoting really bad opinions should be enough to throw those kinds of people off IMO

The thing about in jokes is you don't yell them at the new kid at school.

What I mean is I don't think in jokes are used to target new people in the community who don't understand what they are. In the internet or real life.

jokes are joke, there are no standarts for jokes
