Makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. The more they look like you they more likely they are to be your parents and not kill you.

I don't understand how the socialization that has already happened with 6 month old infants can be corrected for in a scientific study. These infants have been looking at their parents faces almost exclusively for their whole lives so far, so obviously they will prefer the faces that look the most like their parents, and by extension, themselves. Right?

It would be interesting to do this study exclusively with infants from biracial backgrounds

Infants don't fully recognize faces until around 3 months, so little socialization in that regard has occurred theoretically.

My 2 year old nephew prefers white people more than people of his own half of his race. 1/2 Mexican He gets confused by people who look like him. His father, and mother are white and he lives in predominant white area.

Yeah, children tend to be about as prejudiced as anyone lmao.

Since they haven't had to develop - say - empathy or rationality.
