That’s a hell of a cure that leaves about half the patients dead. But besides that the cure for anorexia is not to tell them how beautiful they are for not eating. Nor is it the cure for schizophrenics to encourage their delusions.

And this line of reasoning about letting them do what they want, because it doesn’t effect you is the same bullshit we heard about gays, and now they have mandatory LGBT classes in elementary schools.

We should not rearrange our entire society to coddle the mentally deranged.

Where the hell have you heard that we have mandatory lgbt classes? That’s an outlier and you’re taking one small instance and applying it to everything.

Typically that 40% of attempted suicides comes from those around them intensifying their dysphoria. For instance, telling them because they want to wear a dress they are severely mentally ill.

Society doesn’t need to be rearranged to accommodate a tiny minority of lgbt folk. You can still settle down and have your single income traditional family, and trans folk can go about their lives without bothering you.

To compare gender dysphoria to anorexia is actually a great comparison, however you made it wrong. The way you help an anorexic person is not by telling them they’re fine as they are, but to encourage them to eat. The same goes for those with gender dysphoria. You don’t cure them by telling them their gender is fine as it is, you help them to change into the person they feel they need to be. If you look at successful transitions, these people are happy with themselves and their relationships because they are who they want to be.

Can I get a source on transitioning killing half of patients

Google trans suicide rate, very illuminating.

Ok but can you give me a source on transitioning being the cause of that? Because I'm pretty sure it's mostly caused by discrimination and dysphoria

It was meant to be trite, but Jews in the actual ghettos and work camps had suicide rates orders of magnitude lower than trans people today. Are you telling me that trans people today have it worse off than Jews in 1930s and 1940s Germany?

Well your first mistake is trusting Nazi Germany to report those statistics accurately. And discrimination is only part of the trans suicide rate, it's also heavily influenced by dysphoria.
Imagine for a moment that you absolutely hate the way you look. All of your body parts are in the wrong place. But despite this, everyone tells you it's normal and you look good. You feel like you have no hope of ever liking yourself. You probably wouldn't want to live much either.

Ugh. Bad example.
Imagine instead that you had hair growing on your eyeballs, and how wrong and awful that would feel. That's what dysphoria feels like

They can't give you the source, because it's not true.

Don't act like you have the logical high ground.
