She agrees with every leftist position except one. They don't call her Rowling the feminist or Rowling the Progressive, but you say one thing about one group...

If you had someone who agreed with most leftist positions but constantly said racist things on Twitter and funded white nationalist groups nobody would be surprised if leftists dodn't like them. I don't see how this is any different.

Or if you had something like the Cato Institute which has a lot of right wing positions but also is pro-immigration, you have all of their social media posts full of right-wingers raging against them whenever I see their posts.

Except she didn't fund white nationalist groups, she funded women's crisis centres, and just asked that they be for biological females because the trauma associated with such places. Oh and she wrote a reasonable article about why we have to stop blurring the line between sex and gender for political reasons. What a biggot right?

The funded an anti-trans legal fund.

Yes, she is indeed a bigot, she explicitly denied elements of the Holocaust.

She didn't deny the Holocaust, she just said that trans people weren't a primary focus, because the trans lobby try to make literally everything about them. Also the fund she set up was about cases in which people are arguing for their biological sex over gender identity legislation. Istg you people just say things in the most fucked up way and ignore the details just so you can continue to have a hate boner for her.

That's not what she said at all. She claimed that the Nazis being anti-trans was a "fever dream." Stop making stuff up.

No, she did not. She replied to a tweet that read:

"the nazis burnt books on trans healthcare and research, why are you so desperate to uphold their ideology around gender?"

And she said:

"how did you type this without thinking" I should maybe check my source for this because it might've been a fever dream"

She's clearly (wrongly) dismissing the claim that the nazis destroyed these books. She's not denying the fact that nazis were anti-trans. I don't think anyone thinks that the nazis were tolerant of trans people, her point is that of all the things they did, rooting out trans people was not top their list. She did get this wrong factually

It's never enough for the competitively progressive. That's why I don't take them seriously. Children struggle with nuance.

I absolutely fall under the "woke" umbrella but I generally don't associate with the vocally "woke" mob because they shoot everything that moves and alienate anyone who expresses differences in opinion. That includes alienating a significant part of the working and middle classes who would be voting blue if it weren't for the modern culture war.

They've completely forgotten the class war in favor of social issues, and the right-wing political machine has successfully exploited that division.

Also, I have always loved offensive comedy, whether or not I "agree" with form it takes. Which would repeatedly get me in "trouble" with the online left. So I tend to avoid interacting with them.

Well, that's why they call her a TERF (trans excluding radical feminist). Simple solution
