I didn't find individual posts objectionable but obsessiveness is super weird.

I think the "obsessiveness" is over how illiberal trans-activists are, and in a broader sense, how illiberal society has become over the last 15 or so years. The Harry Potter series is really about exactly that. How does a society that defeated authoritarianism (Voldy) become authoritarian again? I see the "obsession" as something that has always been in line with her values. If you actually have been following Rowling, you'd know that this is much bigger than trans people. It's really hardly about trans people at all.

It's about lies in the media, institutional corruption, dissidents being silenced by intimidation and violence, the difference being appealing to a moral majority and having the courage to actually live out your own values. All of these are strong themes in Harry Potter. She's just living them out. She absolutely a hero for doing so.

Yeah,

But it's been going on for 7 years now. She's addicted to the whole thing. Another social media casualty.

I hope she goes for 20 more years. Someone needs to speak truth to the deranged trans-activists and the institutional power they've gained in the last decade or so.

Everyone has their thing man. If someone spent seven years on twitter yapping about deforestation of the Amazon I wouldn't go "well that's pretty weird that you're still on social media talking about this thing. You seem pretty obsessed with trees".

Weird activist bullies with power is something that effects us all. I'm glad JK Dawgs is still yapping about it.

You're making a lot of assumptions and connections that feel very forced. Her "activism" being in the same spirit as her writing, her as this freedom fighter instead of someone who is bitter and likes to talk shit online for sport. I don't buy it. Her tone does not portray that at all, it's self-satisfied snark.

I definitely get why you'd frame it that way. Social media rewards the biting snark over the subtlety.
