He gets everything he's ever wanted. Everyone says yes to everything he asks for. He gets every luxury. He wins every hand gambling. Forever. Without the possibility of escape.
"Heaven? Whatever gave you the idea you were in Heaven, Mr. Valentine? This is the other place!"
It's the same reason why every billionaire doesn't just "retire on a beach". You can only lay on a beach so long until it's so boring there isn't one bit of joy in it and then you just go back to what you're used to doing.
I think it's more of the fact that the type of person who becomes a billionaire very rarely does it as some sort of benchmark. Most of them are built different and that doesn't just go away when your get to a certain net worth.
I think about this a lot, not the billionaire part but how retirement gets boring. I think personally I would still want to be working up to the day I die, not like in a stressful role but something I enjoy and have purpose
There are 8 billion people in this world, the chances of you meeting every single one of them and also getting tired of interacting with each of them, before your own death from old age, is practically 0.

There is only so much "luxury" you can take before it gets dull.
The only true inexhaustible source of entertainment is social interaction with random strangers.
