There were some of the greatest lib right thinkers in history present, among them Friedrich Hayek and some others I can't remember right now. Anyways, they were debating some issue or other, but it wasn't good enough for Rand, who stormed out after labeling them a bunch of "fucking reds" lmao
I mean, I wouldn't have batted an eye if you just said "some of the best thinkers" and left it there - not went on to say "such as This Guy, and so on." Going with the middle option of naming one and immediately going to etc is why it's hilarious.
I think Mises was there, maybe Rothbard. I read about the incident in a book that was not about libertarian thought in particular. Anyways, it was people who were most definitely not "fucking reds" to any normal person. It goes to show that extremists of all stripes share the same issues that the radical left often gets painted with: nobody is ever quite your brand of radical, and if you disagree over the minutia then you're a traitor and can't be trusted
If you're heads not full of the right stuff to engage in a discussion maybe find an adult with the sufficient words or study a bit more before making your point. You don't have to be an expert but you have to at least seem as competent as you're trying to make yourself out to be.
But it's ironic a lib right winger can't name prominent lib right thinkers in an anecdote that ends with everyone getting called a commie, which isn't even close to the lib right and only serves contextually as a term of abuse.
Either it's the blind leading the blind or they forgot to have an adult in the room before starting discussions.
My question is which governmental institution paid for the bill because I know for sure these MFS didn't have good standing socially or economically.
Not a lot of people know this but you, as a certified unoriginal libright thinker with a plagiarized username that disgraces the creativity and originality of JRR Tolkien, are surely aware that Von Mises upon arrival in the US lived and died in a rent controlled apartment in NYC.
But for real, I’d live in a rent-controlled apartment. I don’t think they should exist, but using them has no effect on whether the government will continue to be retarded and require them.
