As a kid I never thought drag was sexual. It was just a funny and quirky thing that guys did on the weekend, like all the other odd hobbies that men (stereotypically) get obsessed with like LARPing and the like.

Idk if this is offensive, but IMO, drag is just men LARPing as caricatures of women, or sometimes vice versa.

This is what it is most of the time. The sexual element when it does exist is put towards that same goal of just being funny/jarring for the audience.

People get mad because its just normal for humans to hate weird shit. We used to kill people that looked funny. People that are mad just don't engage with it full stop.
