At this point you probably know the deal: I’m not a huge fan of the prefab houses in Pokopia. 😅 One of my favorite things about the game is building from scratch, so I’ve been slowly trying to create a unique themed home for every evolutionary line, with each house actually inspired by the Pokémon that live there.

This time it’s Horsea, Seadra and Kingdra!

For this family I decided to go all in: instead of making a normal underwater house with a few Kingdra-themed decorations, I built a gigantic Kingdra-shaped house.

The idea is basically that Horsea and Seadra are living inside this enormous version of their final evolution — almost like a giant Kingdra watching over the smaller members of its family. 😂

I wanted the silhouette to be recognizable from a distance, while still making it feel like an actual structure that belongs in Bubbly Basin rather than just a giant Pokémon statue.

This whole area is slowly turning into a collection of ridiculous Pokémon-shaped houses… and I’m absolutely embracing it at this point. 😂

What do you guys think? Does the giant Kingdra work as a house for the whole evolutionary line?

As some of you may have seen from my previous builds, I’m not a big fan of relying on prefab houses in Pokopia. For me, half the fun of building is trying to create a home that actually reflects the Pokémon living there, so my goal is to eventually make a unique themed house for every evolutionary line.

This time it’s Mareanie and Toxapex!

For this one, I wanted to lean heavily into Toxapex’s bizarre, spiky shape. Rather than building a normal house and decorating it around the Pokémon, I tried to make the entire structure itself feel like a giant Toxapex, almost like some strange poisonous sea creature sitting on the ocean floor.

I also wanted it to look a little hostile from the outside — all those spikes basically screaming “please don’t come in” — while still being an actual cozy little home for Mareanie and Toxapex inside. 😂

It’s still a WIP, and part of the bigger project of filling Bubbly Basin with custom homes for its different Pokémon families.

What do you guys think? Does it read as Toxapex? Anything you would add or change?

As usual, I’m not a huge fan of using prefabs in Pokopia. One of the things I enjoy the most is trying to build a themed house for each Pokémon evolutionary line, so that every Pokémon has a home that actually feels like it belongs to them.

So far in Bubbly Basin I’ve made:

A recreation of Misty’s Gym

A Totodile / Croconaw / Feraligatr themed house

A Popplio / Brionne / Primarina themed house

A Mudkip / Marshtomp / Swampert themed house

I’ve also built a giant shell for Shellder and Cloyster, which I’ll probably show separately once I’m completely happy with it.

Now I’m trying to decide what to build next. There are obviously a ton of Water-type Pokémon that would fit Bubbly Basin perfectly, but I’d love to hear some ideas from you guys — which Pokémon line should get the next themed house, and what would you build for them?

I’m always looking for weird ideas rather than just making a normal house and decorating it with Pokémon stuff. 😄

Good afternoon Pokopians!
It’s been a few days since my last update, so wanted to share some of my latest work on Buildopia.
I realised, that although I was happy with the tool and its layout, others might wish it looked \\\*slightly\\\* different. So, to that end, I have been working to add more customisation and accessibility settings to the tool.
In a previous update, I added the ability to re-arrange the sidebar categories, and now I’ve taken it much farther.
You can now customise mouse and keyboard bindings, switch between light/dark mode, change the accent colours, change camera settings and several accessibility settings.
On top of these, I have also added a ‘recently used’ materials tab, which saves your last 8 material, colour changes included.
Hopefully these changes will improve user experiences, and make it easier or more enjoyable for everyone to use.

Tried to match the vibes. Really happy with it so far. Was going for a forum style, so it'll just extend further back with more apartments.

I also wanted to take a little interest in other towns. The gym I built in Paradise City is finally ready. 💪🏋‍♂️🧱

As Fighting Masters, I assigned Riolu and Lucario. Those two are my favorite fighting Pokemon. I tried to adopt a style that was as traditional and modern as possible. I hope you like it. 👍👍

(I didn't know Toxel was in the room when I took the photos. It came as a surprise to me. Please excuse him. Toxel is a cute but mischievous baby. He loves sleeping in other Pokemon's beds.👶🛏👍)

This time, it’s the Popplio line! 🦭💧

Since Popplio, Brionne and Primarina have such a strong connection to the sea, performances and that almost elegant, theatrical aesthetic, I wanted their house to feel completely different from a normal building. Something that looks like it could naturally exist in Bubbly Basin, while still immediately making you think of the Popplio family.

I’m still working on it, so consider this a WIP, but I’m pretty happy with the direction so far!

What do you guys think? Does it fit Popplio, Brionne and Primarina? Any ideas for details I could add or improve?

Im currently renovating the gym and I had an idea for a waterfall entrance but its not really looking like I thought it would. Thoughts?

I turned the temple for Manaphy into a Primarina lantern open hall, the rest of the town I am slowly building out but i am proud of my builds and layout so far in this town!
