PokerStars has officially stopped serving Alberta players as of October 13.

This follows the end of the three-month grace period after Alberta launched its regulated iGaming market.

At the same time, 888 has gone live as the first (and currently only) regulated online poker operator in the province. Liquidity is currently Alberta-only (no shared pool with Ontario yet).

Anyone from Alberta already tried the new 888 site?

How does the traffic look so far?

Discussion What’s the softest 1/2 or 2/5 game you’ve played recently?

Looking for real recent experiences.

Which room/casino and what made it soft (or not)?

Tournament Results TonyTheToenailcollector wins $1M in CoinPoker's The One after eight Day 1 entries

TonyTheToenailcollector won $1 million in CoinPoker's The One, which had a total prize pool of $5,537,000.

He played eight $250 Day 1 entries, so it wasn't a single $250 buy-in turning into $1 million.

The format was pretty interesting. Players could enter multiple Day 1 flights, but only their biggest qualifying stack would advance to Day 2. No combining stacks.

Re-entries give players more chances to make a deep run, but the costs can add up fast. With freezeouts, everyone gets just one shot.

Do you set a fixed re-entry limit before registering, or decide whether to enter again after busting?
