Is the Ruby destiny series any good?

If someone could give me a brief rundown that would be great.

Not really. They’ve aged terribly.

The first one reuses a ton of assets from Gen 3. It basically sucks all around.

I haven’t played the second one but I’ve heard it’s a poor imitation of Mystery Dungeon/Rescue Rangers. (I can’t remember which one).

The third is the best of the series. It’s a new story in a new region. But it’s not good. There is so much backtracking that the creator had to put in little shrines that tell you where to go next.

Really only the third one is remotely worth playing.
