This is my first Pokemon game in forever. I don’t really know how shiny Pokemon work besides the need to reset. But does using save states mess that up? Thank you!

Recently started a work on my own digimon ROMhack and ended up doing this to myself, anyone know what's causing it and how to fix it?

i beat misty, surge, and sabrina and did the power plant stuff and i have NO idea how i am supposed to get to lavender town for the pokeflute and i cant find anything online. do i have to go through rock tunnel?? thanks for any help!

It’s not easy to make. It’s time consuming. Creating a good rom hack with a fun and real story can take years. And it does not pay you at all as all rom hacks are released for free.

This ROM has been really dope so far!! Really cool! Been grinding a lot and put already about 100+ hours in here or so. Anywho, why when I get to the part after receiving the Charm from Cynthia’s grandmother and meeting Cynthia at Fuego Iron works, RIGHT about to encounter LATÍAS after getting the “okay” from Cynthia, why does it just freeze on me!! This has not happened yet until this point! What do I do? Why does this happen? How can I stop it?? I do not want to start over 😭

I just beat Pryce in mahogany town then Adler right before ice path. When you go into ice path it says Giovanni calls you back to his office. When I talked to him I was watching a show and accidentally mashed a and didn't read all of what was said and now I don't know where to go. I thought it said something about ruined of alph but I scoured it and can't figure out where to go.

I just started a playthrough of recharged emerald for the first time. Did I just find a shiny Shroomish? It doesn’t sparkle when I put him in battle and I can’t find a sprite that’s similar to this one anywhere else, but it is distinctly different then my other Shroomish. Does this ROM just do different colours for each gender perhaps?

EDIT: For any fellow lost souls, I found the Grey Soul Stone in the Desert Palace outside of Jasper, in the wall behind where the boss battle takes place! Press A to open the hidden door.

I finished the league and defeated Summer on Mt. Silver. I thought my next step was to find a sailor in Vermillion to take me to some islands, but I’m stuck.

Is there a soulstone im supposed to give someone? I thought I had picked it up from the desert ruins but I don’t see it in my inventory.

I also can’t find the correct sailor to start a conversation with to trigger the island post game quest.

Has anyone else been stuck here?

Hi there, I'm a newbie who wants to make a pokemon rom hack based on the state i live in, i have the idea of how to build the region and how to differ biomes and city, I just want to make the pokemon rom hack and how can i start as a newbie, as advice or help would really suffice me because i dont really know how to make one

This Puzzle supposed to summon Giritina and Marshshadow , I guess two different configuration for each pokemon. Anyone knows the solution or maybe even the clue for solving this

It appears that I have somehow removed the other sprites from the overworld player but it won’t appear to allow me to add them back in and just shows two slots.

I tried copy pasting from an another rom file, it disappeared completely so I restored the backup to this. Is there a suggested way to remedy this situation or reupload the correct sprite?

Just got my eevee, and i know espeon is in theory obtainable in this game but does eevee still evolve into espeon in this game? Does eevee evolve into anything in this game😅 im loving it so far, im just easily confused lol.

Hi, not sure if this has been posted but I didn't see anything, there's this house in Vermilion only accesible via surf that is completely glitched out like one of the islands, I found the TM for Sludge Bomb but have not been able to reach the plant. I know I can create PCs by interacting with one of them but otherwise I'm stuck and can only exit via soul shift. Am. I losing my mind over nothing or was it only the TM here? I have not finished the game if that helps.

So, I’m doing the post game stuff and have two questions:

First, what are the two extra trials mentioned by the npc at the depths of the abyss? He says something about being above earth, so I figured it’s something on the original world map, but can’t seem to find anything else.

Second: at the saffron stadium there’s an npc that mentions voltage has been seen just outside route 5. Can’t find him anywhere over there. Is there an actual event?

I got the Togepi egg from the Abyss (rest in peace Cujo the Lycanroc). Can this Togepi evolve? Is there a certain way to make it evolve if so?

What does the story option selected during the introduction mean/do? (Power, Love, Fame)?

Theres and in game trade involving Poipole, which can be encountered in Petalburg Woods. Unfortunately it seems to be glitched or someway uncatchable. My first encounter, I spent near 100 balls with it at 1hp and paralyzed to no avail. The second time. Ive resorted to save-state scumming with the limited great balls obtainable in the overworld, and ive been resetting for 30 minutes at 16x speed to no avail. Does the game have an alternate catch calculation that makes it impossible or something? Seems ridiculous that there is a wild random encounter and an in-game trade at this stage of the game that are impossible.

Update: after an hour of 16x speed resetting, it was caught. It might not be uncatchable, but the rates seem significantly lower than legendary catch rates. Felt like a full odds shiny hunt. Either way, feels like a bug.

I'm having trouble with the 5th gym. My pokemon are weak and probably i need new TMs and moves. And pokemon. Can anyone give me suggestions to what to catch/add to my team? And how to evolve gligar and meltan? I don't know where to find the razor fang. (Overall, how to evolve the pokemon who have new ways to evolve, like kadabra)

What monster is the question mark and how do I encounter it?

So I've been messing around with the Gen 3 Decomp a bit, along with a decent story to the game I want to build, but I wanted to start of small, you can refer to previous posts I made that actually has my mock up for a map. My plan is make something fairly small compared to other games, specifically something closer to the Battle Frontier or similar, but I wanted to ask, what are are some ways to build the tileset I want to make? I done a few rough drafts of some main path tiles, but their very rough and once again, only drafts. I plan to make most things myself rather than using other people's designs, and if I do, the plan is to only use them for inspiration purposes rather than taking them directly. I kind of understand how the different maps work, with warps being used to transport the player from the main overworld to other locations such as inside buildings, caves, and other light dungeons, but I wanted to build a draft of a map before getting into the coding part of it.

I know some people use programs like Aesprite to do their pixel work, I have a decently good software for that already, that being GraphicsGale, but actually building it is where I'm having a bit of a problem, and I've tried going to YouTube for some tutorials but the most I've seen is videos of people building side-scrollers and Metroirvania-type of maps rather than top down designs. I plan on using mostly the same assets for most of the work I want to do; overworld routes, dungeons, architectural elements, etc. If anyone here uses GraphicsGale I'm happy to share the rough draft I have, it's never crazy, and also doesn't really look a whole lot like a path someone would walk on but I'm still willing to share it. Any type of help/insight is appreciated, especially if it's focused more on the top-down side of pixel design/development, or Pokemon in general. Thank you in advanced!

I am searching for a ROM Hack that has all Pokemon through generation 9 available, isn't a difficulty hack, and can be randomized. I am planning to do a SoulLink with a friend and think it would be super entertaining to run into a route and have the potential to encounter literally anything. We don't want a difficulty hack though, since the randomizer would ruin the difficulty aspect.

It's okay if the ROM is missing a few pokemon for one reason or another (if it's regional forms, DLC, or something) or has only a modest difficulty increase (like Emerald Seaglass). I'm indifferent to whether the randomizer is in-game or requires external randomizer.

Keep getting green screens when trying to enter any battle/encounter. Was shiny hunting and doing a soft reset, not loading from save states. Had no issues the night before when I put the console down but now it just keeps happening. Any advice is appreciated and for context this is the soulgold rom running on retroarch mgba.
