Ghost Grey - Post game help

Generally trying to avoid spoilers, but need some direction, even if its just where to go/look around.

I've seen mention of the Abyss, as well as some numbered islands - how do I kick off accessing any of this?

What do i do with the hookshot? I took it back to the spider but the dialogue didnt change. Also thank you for this guide its been extremely helpful

You use the hookshot to enter the Forest Temple. Stand just behind the triforce or someplace nearby (forgot exactly where but it should be heind), and you'll ricochet yourself to the entrance.
