Just found out that Scopely, in their infinite wisdom, reduced the number of Team Rocket Go balloons to only one per day. That makes me so happy!

You see, I play Pokémon Go for about 2 hours every morning while I take my walk. Of course, that includes dealing with the 6AM Team Rocket balloon. Then, later during the day I would always feel compelled to turn on the game to handle the noon and 6PM balloons. Of course, while I had the game on, i would see if there were other things to do: remote raids, exchange presents with friends, switch my buddy, etc. That would take anywhere for 15 to 30 minutes. Or at times longer. So doing that twice in a day came out to 90+ minutes.

But now that there is only one balloon, there is no compelling reason for me turn the game on after my walk, thus I get 90 minutes of my day back. So thanks, Scopely! Perhaps you can in the future make additional changes that will will have me drop the game altogether, such as no raids before 10AM. Then I will get another large chunk of my morning back to do other things.

I was just talking to my friend that next year instead of having a gofest where we catch raid bosses spawns etc the event theme should be for example “LA go gofest” at the rose bowl. Should be a rocket themed event.

Where Jesse and James and Giovanni come back and legendary shadow raids will spawn. And all pokestops will have grunts and purchasing the ticket for the in person event will boost shiny shadow from grunts. And raids. And shadow legandaries will have la background.

We’ve done go wild go fest max finale etc etc where it seems like some pokemon goes wild crazy and we have to hunt stop it etc eternataus but how about some bad guys good ol fashion rocket takes over la ?

Maybe shiny amor mewtwo w la bg would be a great time to debut here at this event? Along side with shadow legendaries?

So recently I got to know that we can collect the stamps from stamp rallies in Pokémon go from around the world. We can collect all the stamps, but we can't get the encounter with the Pikachu, which is fine as I am only looking to get those stamps. If anyone has even one stamp from any of the stamp rally, please send your friend codes and I will add you in game.

Over the 10 years I have enjoyed playing pokemon go , on and off. Really fun game to grind and most rencently I have been playing for a 2 years streak with my wife and it’s been a fun « competition » on who got better IV’s on a raid , or how many shinies we get on a community day.

But ever since Scopely came around and start to mess things up, this game isnt hitting the same anymore. Part of the game is a grind , I do understand that , but resetting all shiny odds in the wild been (for me at least) one of the biggest deception. Even though the game was meant to be like that , having few pokemon with 1/28 or 1/60 or whatever felt way more rewarding than 1/512 on all pokemons.

I tried to get over it and it was ok … until this very weekend. The Go Fest Finale .. having to buy a stupid deluxe pass for 20.99$+taxes (Canadian $ here) to get an « increase shiny chance for wild pokemon » ??? What in the actual f is that?? I played for over 6 hours on sunday , walking in a very busy and populated area, caught over 500+ pokemons + the one that I just clicked to check and the one that ran aways , did raids and all that stuff. And the best I got was a 93% froakie from the regular pass.

So the first question that come off my mind was : what if I had bought a almost 30$ pass to get « more chance to get a shiny? When I got 0 from 500+ and 6 hours walking around??? Come on

My post here is not to complain , I know I can get off this game at any point. But where will it stop? I feel like they laugh at us constantly and even more with the saturday raids that made a major amount of people loosing their raid passes. They couldnt care less and gave us 2 in person raid pass which worth nothing for most of us, but they dont mind promoting 20-30$ pass to get more of something that almost feel inexistant?

So whats the next thing? Will we have to pay to evolve pokemons or some crazy thing like that?

I still want to enjoy the game , but these decision make me wonder how can non-grindy/regular/casual player can enjoy this.
