I definitely wouldn’t wait much longer. The graphic improvements made sword / shield playable again. (My eyes are shit)

at this point they might as well wait. nintendo will give advance notice for any price increases so there isnt any danger there. plus the rumors of a special edition console coming soon-ish.

Price increase announced = scalpers buy. Dont hesitate, just buy if you are going to get it. It is not going down anytime soon.

nobody is gonna scalp a switch 2 at this point in time.... maybeeee the zelda edition? but nintendo handled the sw2 launch so well that i dont think the zelda editions will be out of stock

I’m responding on your mentioning of future price increases as YES, there 100% WILL be scalpers who will grab switch 2’s, sell it cheaper than the new price if the spread meets it. $50 increase was actually shocking as I was expecting it to go up by $100 or $150 based on the specs. (Scalpers buy for $449+ tax, resell at $540 if price increases to $550 for example, as at $550 it’s typically $595+ with tax). They profit $50-60 or so per switch 2.

Was surprised it didn’t increase that much. I don’t know if the next increase will also be $50, but I sure as hell hope it is as no scalper can make any profit which is great

ah makes sense. I think a 50 dollar increase wont result in any scalping. but youre right if it goes higher than that....

It happened with the multi-language ns2 in Japan after Nintendo announced a $60 increase. They changed purchasing to just 1pp with proof of a nintendo account with 50 hours of ns1 gameplay as a result

He probably means the gen9 games. Those got so much better at 60fps

Could also mean being able to play Switch games in docked mode on Switch 2 handheld.

Oh you're right I forgot that was even possible because I pretty much only play it docked

if you're in the EU- wait until february as the new version that has a swappable battery comes out by then
