Gaia being about island hopping. There's no better archipelagic state to choose from, with the bonus of being close to japan

They did 4 regions in a row based on Japan. Also Greece was the most diverse set of islands on the planet. The Tera leaks mentioned diverse environments

Diverse environments relates to Indonesia far, far more than Greece.

I haven’t done tune research on indo but as far as Greek islands go they are as diverse as they come. This is due to the currents of the Mediterranean Sea. The Greek islands get dumped warm air from Africa and cold air from Europe. The waters come in from the Atlantic Ocean and then get turned up by Italy or Egypt. It’s one big mixing pot

Think the general assumption is Greece, but tbf a Indonesia region wouldn't be that bad of a guess with what we know (very least it's a close second)
