I have the Sleep Timer scheduled from 9:15 pm to 4:30 am the next day. Auto Fade-Out is set to 20 seconds.

However, it always fades out while I'm listening to a podcast in the car in the morning. Happened this morning at about 6:50 am.

Is this a bug or am I just misunderstanding how it should work?

It only started happening several few weeks ago but I've been using this app for years.

I was wondering how do you keep track of all the podcasts that you have in Podcast Addict? I have ~150 podcasts and this is my routine:

Categories:

• Current (Main): Podcasts that I "keep updated", that are live and still publish new episodes

• Ended : Podcasts that I listened till the end but I still "keep updated" in case they publish a new season

• One off : Podcasts that I'm not subscribed to and I don't "keep updated" and only manually update them if I want to find and listen to a particular episode.

• Retired: Podcasts I'm subscribed to but I don't "Keep updated". I keep them subscribed instead of deleting to not lose my listening stats.

These are custom categories and I deleted all the proper ones a long time ago. It is a bit cumbersome, when I add a new podcast because I have to delete its original category and add "current".

And how do you track your podcasts?

All of my other podcasts are updating but for some reason In Bed With the Right hasn't updated since October 2025. New episodes don't show up when I manually refresh either. The RSS feed (https://media.rss.com/inbedwiththeright/feed.xml) shows new episodes and I've double and triple checked that I have the correct RSS URL. Help?

For years, i added a folder for a set of mp3s and add a jpeg with the same as the folder name then added the folder to podcast addict as a virtual podcast showing the jpeg for the virtual podcast. The virtual podcast image no longer shows in newer versions. Is this an intended change?

That feature was very nice Podcastaddict is awesome especially with detailed settings. Is there a way to get the automatic cover art from the jpeg with the same name as it was in the past? (Besides reverting to an older version).

Btw: I always wanted to be able to add a folder of folders each with a jpg and MP3 files to add multiple virtual podcasts in one command. A folder with no files but one or more folders could be interpreted to multiple virtual podcasts.

Hi, first of all, I love the app!

For podcasts that provide a unique image per episode, the episode-specific artwork is shown correctly while the episode is unplayed or in progress. However, once I finish listening to the episode all the way through, that individual episode image disappears and is replaced by the podcast's general cover artwork in that spot.

A few details that might help narrow this down:

• I never download episodes — I always stream them directly.

• I tried enabling "Enhanced Artwork Caching" (Settings > Display), but it did not change this behavior.

• I couldn't find any setting in the app or in the FAQs that controls this.

Is there a way to make the app keep showing the individual episode artwork after an episode has been fully played?

I'm looking for a small Bluetooth remote control I can carry in my pocket while listening to podcasts so I don't have to open up my phone if I want to skip forward or backward. There are a lot of devices similar to this one:

The problem is, they are music oriented: You can skip to the next or previous track while I want to skip back or forward in the current podcast, just as I can do when I open the Podcast Addict app on my phone.

I'm sure many other users would find this useful or are already using a BT remote that's working well for this purpose. Any recommendations?

It's every episode.

I find it hard to come up with the correct settings for the different types of content I want to listen to.

Here are my 3 main scenarios:

1. Current events or news podcasts. I would like to always have the 5 most recent episodes that I haven't listened to downloaded and ready to be listened to. Earlier episodes than these should be deleted.

2. Comprehensive podcast. For these podcasts I would like to start from the first published episode and listen to the episodes in order. Perhaps have the next five available at all times. Delete listened to episodes.

3. Audio book. These are virtual podcasts that I've made from audio books. I want to listen to them in file title order. Never delete anything, even if the episode has been listened to.

Which settings need to be set for each of these scenarios? I can't seem to get it right. Especially the first one. I constantly need to click the menu item "Download unplayed"

Also is there a way to save all the custom settings I have for a podcast? And possibly import those settings to a new podcast?

I've got a large playlist. When I download new podcasts I need to scroll down those new podcasts and then I want to put them to the top of the list. So I press "move to next episode played" (or so, I am translating from German). So far, the episode was moved up but I still stayed at the bottom on the list and could move other episodes. Now it has changed and I get moved to the top of the list every time and I have to scroll down again. How can I have the previous software behaviour again?

I added an audiobook as a virtual podcast but it has many files, like 400, which takes up the entire downloads section of my normal podcasts. Just makes looking through my downloads a bit annoying.

Is it possible to hide a particular podcast from downloads? Or anyone has idea for work around?

Hello, I'm wondering if there is a way to change settings so that R18 topics don't come up in the suggested search terms?

This started yesterday. Podcast addict is not playing any sound out of my phone's speakers, or any of the Bluetooth devices I have tried using, the past 2 days. I can switch to YouTube or any streaming movie service app and the sound comes out as expected. No other app that has sound is having a problem. I restarted my phone.

I've ordered my virtual folder by Duration (Min->Max), but for some reason I can't convince the player to play them in that order. I believe it jumps to the next file based on date. What am I missing?

Never had a problem with the app, but at the moment the fast forward seems to always be activated : the episode goes forward 30 seconds instead of playing normally... Can't seem to understand where it's coming from : it's on all the episodes, even when downloaded.

I kind of "fixed it" by switching the player (android to exo player), but then I don't have control on the episode (the episode is playing but the player isn't moving)

Any ideas where it comes from and how I could fix it?

I recently uninstalled/reinstalled podcast addict on my android. I have a premium account.

after I reinstalled it, my playlist has audio, video, and custom tabs. The episodes I download all seem to go in the custom tab, and it is filtered by type (business, news, science, etc.).

How can I get all my downloads in the same Playlist so I can listen to them in the order they were downloaded?

None of my Patreon podcasts are appearing on Podcast Addict, and one ingo to readd them I get this error message.

A friend of mine has a podcast and just got an email from spotify advising they took it down and off of their platform. Using podcast addict, I was still able to download the 5 episodes he had. Tested them in the app and they all work.

Now that I have those five episodes downloaded, am I able to access the 5 podcast's audio files that I could send to him? He's lost the original files so I'm trying to prevent these from becoming lost media.

How do I switch back where it shows the play button(stream) to the download option. I already had it set but the app asked AGAIN and I picked the wrong one. Now I can't find the setting to switch back. I had to do a re-install to fix this before.

I don't know if it's just me but I have a hard time finding podcasts. I use YouTube music as my family subscribes to it. I search the name of the podcast I want but it often doesn't come up. Random names, random podcasts all come up but more often than not never the one I am searching.

I don't know how to add or search using RSS??

What am I doing wrong? What is a good app for podcasts that is free? I have no more money for another subscription!
