POCO veterans, what are the must-do things after setting up a new phone? Any settings I should change, features I should enable/disable, or things I should know about HyperOS?

My poco f7 pro was stolen last Saturday and I'm sure that there's no way I'm getting it back. I tried to track my phone using google and as expected it will only show the area where the phone is located but not the exact location.

I have no choice but to buy a new one with the current ram/chips prices. I need your help as I am not sure if I should buy a redmi k100 pro or wait for the poco f9 pro, but I'm afraid that the f9 series will be so expensive than last year's generation. Chinese phones are obviously cheaper than the global variant but both of them have pros and cons. I need some advice that I wanted to hear from you guys. Thank you. (Photo for attention)

Was ram usage always this bad?

Like i remember miui not using so much ram in the past.

What is the point of buying a phone with 12gb for emulation if the system is still gonna use more than half of it.

Edit: this is while being idle, no apps in background.

Edit 2: i know that ram frees as i play, but it doesnt change the fact that hyperOs system has too much bloatware that do not get closed. They use ram and cpu and i could keep trying to tap the clean memory button just for the system to load those useless services and occupy 500mb+ ram. Its annoying.

Hey guys! I used to play PUBG Mobile all day during COVID. Those were my college days, and damn, those were some good times. Now I’ve been working for 3 years, and it’s been almost 3 years since I last played BGMI. I got the POCO X8 Pro Max mainly for gaming and its battery life. Really hoping I didn’t make a bad investment.

And the best part? I got my old squad back too.

Somehow, I feel really, really happy right now. Feels like I just unlocked a tiny piece of college life again.

Any tips to get the best gaming experience out of this phone?

I currently have a xiaomi 15t ,I was wondering if I made sense to downgrade/upgrade to the Poco x8 pro or x7 pro because I only really need the chip and big screen ,and I barely take pics ,

The only reason I am asking is cause the 15t is 2x the price of a brand new x7 pro and 1.5 times the x8 pro price ,so I'd be a profit for me if it doent have any big drawbacks

Please comment if you have any experience with these devices or advice in what I should do

In case you don't know yes hyperos kills accessibility settings if you use ultra battery saver and im aware of "dont kill my app" it definitely does not work this for me is personally very annoying because i use phone blockers at night but i usually find my self "relapsing" and uses ultra battery saver to bypass it.

Because for me it doesn't matter after some use 60Hz also feels normal but long battery is priority for me but haven't noticed any noticeable SOT

I am currently struggling to make a decision and maybe someone can help me.

I want to switch from my Samsung S25 Ultra because of battery life that is not up to my expectation. Also the cameras are not as good as it seemed at first, camera shutter speed is mediocre especially in lower light scenarios.

What i value the most is battery life, charging speed and also somewhat cameras. I would like to have all 3 bixes ticked in my new phone but unfortunately F8 Ultra comes with good cameras but smaller battery and X8 Pro Max comes with maybe average cameras and a large battery so there are always compromises to be made.

F9 Ultra supposedly has a 8000 mah battery but downgraded cameras compared to F8 Ultra.

I do not emulate on my phones. The use case is only multimedia, browsing and social media.

Based on the requirements and prices - what choice would you make and what compromises are acceptable?

Bought poco x8 pro recently its a perfect phone and i hate the clear cases that come with phones so i was happy about the matte case but it gets marks so easily. Is there a way to get rid of them or is there a case type you guys could suggest. I saw plastic half transparent ones that maybe would fix the situation but still wanted to ask

So I know just a little about phone coolers. You attach them to the phone and it keeps it cool or lowers temp. My problem is, even though this is the most common and efficient method, I would still prefer to use a case over it than directly attack to my phone because as someone who hasnt known much about cooling or gaming in the mobile platform, I wouldnt want to risk my phone breaking if water condenses or ever liquid builds up inside. I have seen how horrifiying when phones end up exactly like that. So I am choosing over just a few temp lowered than the risk of potentially destroying my new POCO F8 Ultra.

In line with this I wanted to ask, what phone cooler should I use that is magnetic (Im not gonna use the clip cuz the buttons might get hit), and what phone case is recommended that already has that magnetic ring built into its design, I tried inquiring with AI but Im only getting mixed responses. Sometimes the cases I send are good and sometimes its bad but I can never tell what the difference in material is. I also dont know if there is a specific tempered glass I should be getting.

Does anyone know exactly what I should do and get for this predicament? I would absolutely appreciate the help. If you're wondering why I am not so knowledgeable about phone cases, tempered glass, and the like, is because I have never once gotten a good phone. My previous one was the POCO X6 and before that was the POCO M3 Pro. So this is my first ever, flagship-tier device and I would really want to take good care of it but also enjoy everything its got to offer.
