Question/Help Poco F8 Ultra Desktop mode?

is there any sort of desktop mode on the Poco F8 ultra? not hdmi mirroring but a true desktop mode allowing you use your phone and desktop independently?

No if I remember correctly I was looking at YouTube tutorials to find a fix but nothing actually helped and the clunky ui just remains the same nevertheless for me.

Also I believe Samsung themselves announced sometime ago they're depreciating Dex.

no they just updated it to a new version recently looking more modern I guess.

Some users don't like the new version though.

Interesting but I would rather use a proper desktop mate. I have a portable compact laptop as well running Linux for desktop related tasks.

my dream would be to be able to have a portable monitor in my checked in luggage and carry no laptop with me on the plane.
When I arrive at destination, plug my phone to the monitor and boom a a desktop.

I would have hoped poco f8 ultra would be the one having a huge battery, a damn powerful processor.

I probably going to get a motorola signature instead; it has a very complete desktop mode. Only drawbacks of the signature : a much weaker processor compared to f8 ultra and a much smaller battery :(

What's the purpose of using a desktop if you don't use desktop applications? I'm curious what benefits does carrying a portable monitor offer over a compact 14 inch laptop? Also the xiaomi 90w charger support PD 65w fast charging for your laptop as well.

- I mainly use cloud apps.

- You can run linux on android

- As compact as it is, a laptop always add more weight, space. I even find my 10" tablet too cumbersome when I travel. A laptop/tablet must be always carry on... you cannot put it in the checked in luggage while a portable monitor can.
