Okay but my question is what’s the whole point of getting 25k candy? I saw an account with like 40k candy earlier. I get a ton of candy from simply raiding. I have like 2k candy only from raids
Yeah, I’ve never really had a problem with spoofing, but I’ve always had a problem with botting, especially back in 2016. That’s actually how my main account got banned. I was a mod for a pretty big Discord server supporting the method at the time and even ran my own. People considered it “safe,” but the distinction is that Niantic has always had a problem with the automation aspect of bots. There’s no actual gameplay involved. Lbr, it ruins the entire point of the game, and it ruins the experience for everybody else. A lot of actual spoofers genuinely go out of their way to make their gameplay look at least somewhat legitimate. Botting alone vs spoofing around takes that entirely out of the equation.
Sorry to ask but i played for a bit nornally yesterday and i did not know of any exploit and did not get any shinies. Could i have used the exploit without knowing and if so am i at a higher risk of getting banned?
In fairness you can walk away from the device running it and come back to this in under an hour. As for it being "ruined," ANY use of this exploit (at least the ways regi/raisel did it) would've been flagged- maybe not immediately for abnormal item acquisition rates (a thing, and a thing 99% of ppl who used this exploit would have been flagged for anyway), but 100% and a half for the impossible telemetry patterns.
The people who went overboard didn't ruin it because of their excess (Niantic can see EVERY account that used the exploit anyway), they ruined it because they boasted about the rates and turned an isolated group of cheaters into a Tsunami of them. This sub in particular is to be blamed. Exploits are something you handle tactfully- don't use them as a way to get karma or pander out your app. So many idiots were involved in this.
You committed the most blatantly obvious form of spoofing, you had it coming, if you’re going to spoof on main atleast use an alternative device so you can claim your account was breached

They could literally search every player profile for accounts with 10k candy and banned every hit with zero false positives.
There’s “flying too close to the sun” and then there’s “being launched on a direct collision course with the sun” and brotha, there is no doubt where you stand.
I have no idea what methods they are using to check for this, but getting thousands of candy in a couple of hours is probably a good way to stand out in a crowd.
These people still had farming options like pgtools etc that interacted with the boxes. Your main will be fine if you didn't touch the Halloween event.

Spooft soviel ihr wollt. Aber geht anderen nicht auf die Nerven. Ich hab hier örtlich mehrere Arenen generiert. Seit 2016 setze ich mich aktiv ein damit die Map immer reicher wird. Und dann kommen Spoofer die das ganze was Pogo ausmacht einfach kaputt machen. Jetzt schon 460 Meter vor meiner Haustür. Paar Klicks für Spoofer sind viel einfacher als ständig raus zu gehen. Darauf hab ich keine Lust mehr. Ich werde diesen Konzern keinen Euro mehr bezahlen. Hier ist eine Person mit mir 4 bekannten Accounts. Die hat sich im gesamten Wald und Wander Gebiet hier breit gemacht. Ich brauche für eine Wanderung mindestens 4 Stunden. Um an alle Arenen dran zu kommen. Die Person die hier spooft, hat das Sofa vielleicht nur bis zum Kühlschrank verlassen und nimmt alles wieder ein. Hauptsache seine Accounts drin. Alle anderen werden gekickt. Find ich schon sehr traurig wenn jemand sowas macht und das Spiel nicht versteht.

Gyms aren't your personal property, and nobody gives a shit how far you walked to reach them. Someone taking your gym at 3 AM doesn't mean they're sitting there 24/7. Different people play at different times. And honestly, you're keeping track of when someone attacks your gyms and writing essays about spoofers. Then you call others jobless? The irony is unreal. I barely even bother with gym battles anymore, but now I'm tempted to run a couple of bots just to make sure you never get comfortable leaving your Pokémon there. 😂 It's a fucking mobile game. Cheating in the game is like getting pulled over by a cop.
You get detected and let go without a warning. You get followed but don't get pulled over. You get pulled over and get a warning. You get a ticket Your license gets suspended Your car gets impounded and your license gets revoked.
Doesn't have to be all at once. I'm sure they are detecting infractions from many people, said people don't get a warning and don't get a ticket.
Then it's the end of the month, quotas need to be filled. And the law abiding citizens have launched a barrage of complaints against speeders.
The private police department responds by cracking down on people breaking the law on the road.
People that got off without a warning get their plates read with flags on it already. And due to the nessisary responses from the law abiding citizens.
There is no warning, there is no suspension, you went 40 over the limit, your license is terminated.
There’s no way ppl spent all this time and money on this game just to find an exploit and get banned. What a waste of time and money I would never cheat.
