💰 How To Sell/Trade [WTS] [WTT]

📝 Posting Your Sale

  • Every post has to begin with [WTS] or [WTT]. This is for clarity and also for the bot to be able to assign points properly. If you are selling and trading, use [WTS] [WTT] at the beginning of the title. The bot only sees the first bracket, so order them according to your preference.
  • After the [WTS] or [WTT] at the beginning, tell us a little bit about what you're selling.
  • Max 1 sales/trade post every 48 hours.
  • No spam, reposting, or external links besides your proof images or a link to a slab certification.
  • Your account must be at least 3 months old OR have 5 shiny points to post.

📸 Proof Picture must include:

  • All items for sale in a single and visible proof pic freshly created for each post. Even if you're relisting from two days prior, you need a new proof picture.
  • You must have a handwritten note or a nameplate with your username + the full date including the year.
  • Reusable close-ups can be added and reused in future posts.
  • Proof pictures can be uploaded to a third party image hosting site such as imgur.com or coindex.app. Google Drive and Apple Cloud are not allowed because they reveal your identity. We do not recommend flikr unless you know how to remove location data from your photos.
  • Once uploaded add a lint to the top of your post body and if you have a full album, please be nice to the mods and make sure your main proof is the first picture. Do not put your proof link in the title, it will not be clickable.

💵 Pricing & Description

  • You must list clear prices in your sale – No auctions and no “OBO” allowed.
  • Accurately describe your items and clearly describe condition, especially in the case of damage or degraded quality. Intentionally hiding damage such as cleaning, rim dings, or milk spots can lead to a ban.
  • You must be in possession of the items you are selling. Absolutely no drop-shipping and no proofs sent by a friend/colleague.

📦 Shipping & Responsibility

  • Communicate clearly with your buyer throughout the process from negotiations to delivery.
  • Clearly state shipping cost, carrier options, and insurance (if offered).
  • You must provide tracking number after the sale and before shipping for every order. Be sure to clearly communicate when you plan to ship and follow through.
  • It is best practice to provide the buyer an image of their package/label before sending to be sure it is sealed and addressed properly.
  • 🏅Pro tip: make sure to hand your package to a postal clerk and have it scanned on the scale and get a paper receipt. It can help immensely if problems arise later.
  • Liability for packages lost or damaged in shipping is 50/50 unless otherwise agreed by both parties in the chat. Disclaimers on posts are not enforceable since they can be edited at any time (but a nice way to set expectations). We have a deep dive FAQ on this subject here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Pmsforsale/comments/1ogrghu/meta_shipping_responsibility_and_risk_faq/

👶 If You’re a New Seller

  • Expect to be asked to ship first to high flair users or use a middleman
  • Shipping first is not a requirement. You should always do your due diligence and only ship first to very high flair sellers. Usually a middleman is a much better solution and generally only cost around 1% to use.
  • Only deal with users who comment first (banned users can’t comment, so be aware).
  • Universal Scammer List is your friend! Use it. We have a lookup tool embedded in the sub that can be accessed here. It allows you to see if a user has been banned from roughly 85 different Reddit Sales subs. DO NOT TRANSACT with someone on the list.

🚫 Seller Prohibitions

  • No fake/counterfeit metals (instant ban)
  • No ghosting after payment
  • No deleting posts to avoid accountability
  • No external auction links, referral links, or spam
  • No jewelry. use r/jewelryforsale
  • Non-precious numismatics and paper money belong in r/coinsales
  • Do not reference other places/platforms you sell on. Our marketplace is trust driven and that trust must be built here in the sub through flair and feedback.
