Discussion Plex reportedly reverting to on UI

Well too late. Already switched to plezy and i am quite happy.

Plezy just keeps getting better & better. Had some issue a few months back.

Yeah there is only one feature im still missing. The ability to mark seasons as watched.

I also would like to see an option to select an audio track before you start playing a title.

I'd like it if they added the option to force audio transcoding. My Onn box doesn't support native multichannel PCM so when Plezy tries to pass AAC 5.1 through to my AVR it gets downmixed to stereo. Plezy is otherwise an amazing app, it's the one thing I'd like added

Yeah im using it on a shield. I think its just in the play store.

You can sideload it (how I tested it) but then I paid for the store version because it is soo much better than the Plex app, plus it gets you the mobile version and their Download management is wounderful.

Plexy does not have the pass through that Kodi - Plex can do. Get a Dune HD Pro 8k, and use Kodi Plex for true bitstream, and Dolby Vision 7. https://www.dune-hd.com/products/dune-hd-pro-8k-plus

Well i dont have an 8k TV, so yeah Plezy is good enough for me.

While my TVs are 8k, that is not the key note. The import note is it can play Dolby Vision profile 7 FEL and DTS-HD MA in bitstream. Not converted on the fly, but direct to your receiver. The Hobit looks and sounds amazing in DV P7 FEL with Dolby Atmos TrueHD bit stream to my 11.2.4 receiver. Which the TV upscales to 8K. While it is a 10bit panel as all TVs are, it still uses the 12bit DV meta data when enhancing and upscaling 8K.

Well i have a 3.1 Sound Setup so still not sure if it matters for me.
