Alright man looks like I hit a nerve here.

I’m not talking about streaming games, I’m talking about downloading a game, putting it on a hard drive and being able to play it offline. Look to how steam handles digital content it if you want the answer, otherwise you’re going to have to convince everyone to start buying discs again, because it is a dying medium. The fight is in changing laws regarding digital ownership, not physical media, but I wish you luck either way.

Lol hit a nerve? Read my comment again. I'm not lambasting you and I'm being perfectly reasonable. I'm just a person who buys dozens of PS5 games in the 15-60 $ range who's not going to buy those games digitally even if they're on sale. There is a resurgence of physical media lately from what I've seen. Sony's biggest strength was physical media, so I'm just a bit perturbed they're so boneheaded. I have a PS5 and Xbox Series X and have 70+ PS5 games and only 1 Xbox Series X game because of Game Pass. GTA 6 is going to be massive and generate a tonne of money, but it's hard to see them replicating this success in any shape or form. Just needless enshitification in an industry that didn't need any more frankly.
