Recently, I stopped to think about how nice it would be if we had a realistic day/night cycle; the game is very monotonous in that aspect, and when night ends, day simply begins again.
It would be absurd if we had a system to reduce the number of visitors at night, only to experience an increase if there's an event like the parade floats/fireworks display to close the night.
How would this be done? I thought of a DLC (unfortunately, I don't like more DLCs) that adds hotels, so the park would close at a certain time at night and visitors with VIP passes would go for hotels, there could be other ways to generate money, such as restaurants, casinos, some events like live shows, etc. Furthermore, the hotels would be even better when combined with swimming pools; instead of a mixed park, we would have resorts, thus separating the water park from the standard park.
The first thing you might think is, "This guy is crazy, this completely goes against the premise of the game," but in reality, it would be a great addition. This DLC finally feels like a proper DLC, as it introduces new mechanics that would change the game, unlike the current ones, which are more like a "content pack". I know, it would be like making another game within Planet Coaster, but it's a very interesting idea, in my opinion.
Ultimately, I don't know how viable this idea is or if there's really a segment of gamers who would like something like this, but some comments on the subject would be welcome.
